Garden Conservatory

Tinker House
Have you seen this?
I just found Donna's blog yesterday when she started following me.
You'll find her over there on my blog roll now.
I was just blown away by this whimsical garden structure that she created in her garden from salvaged materials.
Donna's Blog is full of beauty.

Oh...I need this in my own backyard.
A lovely spot to nap.
And this is in her laundry room in the house.
I'm fantasizing about potting benches lately and this one seems just about perfect.
Please go by Donna's blog to see lots more.

I haven't forgotten that I promised to show my kitchen...but I decided to add some molding and am
working on that today. I hope to show Monday at
Please join me then and link up your mix ups.

Of course tomorrow I'll have Open houses as usual....

Have a great Saturday...I'm off to go antique shopping with my best friend.
We are looking for a chandelier to hang in her big pecan tree out back over her patio.
I think I found just the one last week and I'm taking her there today to see it.

I'm hoping she loves it. I'll let you know.

Conservatories

A little summer in the middle of winter

source
It's cold outside and everything looks bleak.
I find myself wishing for a conservatory.

A room to bask in the winter light and fuss over indoor plants.

source
I looked for photos of conservatories with winter showing through the windows outside

but couldn't find but that first one.
I can imagine all of these as a warm spot in the middle of a cold winter.
I think this one would be perfect on the back of my home.
I think one of these rooms would help me get through the winter blahs.
One seems to have raised Nicole's spirits.
I've always loved this open air conservatory as seen in Country Living long ago
but I guess it wouldn't do during the cold months.
I started thinking about conservatories after seeing examples on Tara Dillard's blog.

Tara just finished her own conservatory made of salvaged materials.
If you haven't been by her blog...you are in for a treat.
She has lots of ideas and photos of beautiful gardens and landscaping.
I know I go there and dream of what my own yard could be.

I can't wait for spring and to make some changes outside.

I finally got all my Christmas stuff packed away.
I had to take a shower immediately afterwards.
I was itchy from all the glitter.

Harvey started on his diet dog food this week.
Well, they all started on diet dog food and they LOVED it.
I hoped they wouldn't like it so much.
But anyway....after four days on it...
Sally got sick.
I forgot about Sally's sensitive stomach.
The diet food does not agree with it.
She is now on a diet of rice to try to get it back on track without a visit to the vet.
We'll see how that goes.
It's always something.......
