Small World
When I got this terrarium my intention was to fill it with plants.
But it never happened and I keep McCoy Flower pots in it now.
But I have decided that a little green world is just what this house needs right now.
So tomorrow...I'm going to go out and search for just the right vessel to fill with plants.
I am determined to have a little indoor garden within the next few days.

These are fabulous Nita! I bought a terrarium (I didn't know what to call it until now...thank you) a few months ago at one of my thrift stores. It still sitting in my garage waiting for me to do something with it...but it's gorgeous. Unfortunately, I'm a plant killer lately (seems like I go through spells, LOL)...so I might have to use fakies. :)
Can't wait to see what you come up with!!! Mine is shaped alot like yours. :)
I'm not great with my plants. The ones in my house now are the varieties I have discovered I can't seem to kill so that's what I'm sticking with. LOVE your McCoy pots, always drawn to ceramics.
I love your McCoy planters, especially the little fish!!!

It seems like the terrarium is making a comeback. I'm starting to see them everywher. Sounds like a good plan. A little green in the middle of winter would be a welcome sight.
Love these pictures and your planter with the McCoy pots. I have a little white green house like the 3rd pic that I'm planning to use in my guest room. I have 0, zip, zero plants in my house. It's awful. I just get no sunlight and they always die. I'll have to research what might be able to grow... my mom says ferns and ivy might work, and I might try African Violets again. Looking forward to seeing your indoor garden!
oh I love terrariums right now all I have are some forced bulbs but I can hardly wait to see what you come up with...Hurry up...lol hugs JoAnn
Terrariums are so beautiful ... like mini forests under glass! Love your photos.
NITA!!!!!
I watched the Sunday Morning CBS Show and they had a great story about terrariums http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4928455n&tag=mncol;lst;2
and.....
I started to write a post about them!
So I will be deleting that!
Yours is so much better than mine.
Funny, how we think alike alot!

What beautiful photos! I can't wait to see your terrarium filled with greenery! The McCoy pots look nice too!
Oh Nita, I am dying for a terrarium! I just spotted the gorgeous (but very pricey) ones on the PB website the other day and my heart went pitter patter!!! I passed one up at the Goodwill for only $20 a few months ago and really kicked myself for not buying it:(
Yours is lovely and I imagine a garden would look gorgeous in there, although it already looks great the way it is:)
I am so inspired by terrariums and these are beautiful! Xoxoxo
The terrarium you found is just gorgeous! It will be fun to see how it turns out when you are done
Fabulous...I think I will be putting together a couple of these beauties.
Happy Day
I love the pots in it! It's all full of potential without having to do anything! Does that mean I'm a bit lazy?
HI Nita - I love terrariums too, but I tried once to actually have one with a plant, but for some reason, I don't like the smell when I lift the glass part to mist it, so I don't have one anymore.
I love your terrarium with a stand. And your idea of using it to display pretty things!

The Sunday Morning show on CBS this past Sunday talked about these and showed some lovely ones just like these. One artist starts the plants and snips at them for two years before she sells them and she blows her own glass. They are terribly expensive.
Love the terrarium idea. I can't wait to see yours...why do I think there may be a tiny gnome that will be living in yours?
Love your pots! Please show us pictures.
Love every photo! Thanks for sharing such inspiring images,
Nancy
I know you posted this just for me...I love that last pic. I left a comment about your McCoy pots and that terrarium....LOVE THEM!!! Dawn suitcase vignettes...drop by and see my vintage bag collection...:D
Good. You do just that and I'll get inspired to do one too!
