Shiny Brite Christmas Wreath

More Ornaments Needed

This is why I had less ornaments than I would have liked on my tree this year.
As I took the tree down last year...I took ornaments off and hot glued them
to a white garland wreath.

Plan was for me to buy more ornaments between last year's Christmas and this year's
Christmas but I totally forgot.
So this year, I thought my tree wasn't as full of ornaments as I wanted and
this wreath is not as full as I want it either.

They both are a works in progress.

I had planned on hanging this in my finished dining room.
Also a work in progress.

Nita, The wreath is loaded with some really pretty old balls. I am surprised you had any left for your tree. It is really very pretty~I like the white garland poking through it.You have to come by and see my little house I found at Home Goods. It came complete with bottle brush trees, all in white and cream. I am waiting for my pink house and pink bottle brush trees that I bought at an Etsy store.

I love your holiday decorating! I've decided I'm hunting for vintage balls and ornaments this year after reading your posts. I also featured you today. Thanks for the vintage inspiration!

Drool.Drool.Drool.For some reason I can't bring myself to use the "fancy" ornaments on wreaths.I've got to get over that as next year is the year I get my full on Shiny Brite wreaths going! Thanks for sharing.

Ha ha- doesn't it feel like things are always like that? I meant to put this unfinished object in this space... that I haven't quite completed either... I feel like that all the time! Your wreath looks great- so super cheerful! And I really can't wait to see your finished dining room (all in good time, of course!)

Nita, I would not worry about the ornaments everything looks great. I love the ornaments on the tree and the wreath!! I have the trees but no wreath, no time, perhaps I need to make one in July lol. I have found great deals after christmas and in the summer, on ebay and etsy. I just love your house!!! hugs JoAnn

LOL at Urban Cottage! I think it's beautiful. I especially like that it's done on a white wreath --so how I see you. And isn't everything in life a work in progress? I know my life (and home) is!

I have been gathering vintage ornaments from antique stores and garage sales all year. This would be a pretty wreath for next year! I love yours!
Have a pretty day!

and now I too am on the search for vintage ornaments...I am so mad at myself because I'm sure I probably passed up a lot at all the estate sales that I've gone to!
Oh well! Next year............

Well at least you did something with your ornaments AFTER Christmas. I always think of projects I can do but then when Christmas is over I'm anxious to get it all packed up until next year...thus there goes my project! Oh well. I LOVE your wreath. I saw it a couple of days ago but didn't have time to comment. They look like they are vintage ornaments...love that blue "Merry Christmas" one. I can also relate to thinking I'll buy more after Christmas and then forgetting or just plain missing out on all the good stuff! lol

Merry Christmas,

Nancy

Hi! I love your wreath!! I also collect vintage ornaments and I gravitate towards pink and blue too! I want to make a wreath with them too but am afraid to glue them since they are collectibles. I guess I'll just keep putting them on my tree and over flow will go in bowls.. P.S. LOVE the Muppet Christmas Carol!!!

Stunning! I made a similar one but it left something to be desired... This gives me motivation to add a little bit to it. Also, I loved your mantel... very inspiring. I mentioned it on my blog with a link to your post...

Nita, I just love your Christmas tree. I have many of the same ornaments you have and I also have an ornament wreath that I showed on this blog post: http://somereallyneatstuff.blogspot.com/2010/12/im-not-decorating-for-christmas-this.html

I think I need a white tree to show off my many vintage ornaments. I just love the kitschyness of the old, colorful ornaments.

I'll be back to visit your blog and just became a new follower.
