Big Ideas
This small 1930's 1,000 ft bungalow looks big and expensive
because of the way it's decorated.
Lizzie Carney, the owner painted all the walls a custom dark charcoal
and the floors a light gray.
The dark charcoal paint on the walls actually makes the rooms look larger
and creates a dramatic statement.
The whole home is painted this color which also makes it feel bigger.
I love the turquoise refrigerator she bought at an El Paso flea market
and the modern bar stools from IKEA mixed with all the antique stuff.
The chandelier came from Belgium and the island is from Euro Trash.
It incorporates parts from an antique sideboard.
Ms. Carney works as a designer/stylist for import firm Euro Trash.
This photo makes me wish I had a basement.
She turned her basement into a wine cellar slash dining room.
Stacked Belgian grape-gathering crates filled with wine line the walls.
Doesn't this look so chic?
This house only has two bedrooms. This is the master, simply stunning.
The comforter is from Anthropologie.
The second bedroom, she turned into a closet.
This is totally what I need to do with my second bedroom.
I need closet space so much more than I need a second bedroom.

This is kinda scary but I've just been reading this over and over again in the Country Living magazine and now you have it up on your blog! LOL!
I love her home....my house is around 800sq. ft! so I'm always looking for new ideas!

Oh, I just can't stop looking at this article and it's gorgeous pictures in my copy of the magazine. Every night I look through again, like it's a bedtime story! Every. single. night.
And I've got to paint at least one room in my house the color that she has throughout her home...
