Mod Mix Monday #148

I'm all about spring decorating at the moment.
That room above just screams spring!
Open the windows...hear the birds sing and enjoy the fresh spring air.
So...I'm all about spring but have not done much about it,
I've been too busy with the new job but
I have two days off in the middle of the week and hope to get some projects knocked out.
One of which includes painting the dining room.
I know...that's a big one...but do-able.

I might be too busy with work but my readers are busy getting things done.
Let's take a look at my favorites from last week's Mod Mix Monday.
I'm a sucker for this type of buffet. I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, I can't get enough of them.
Orphans With Make Up painted this one in Paris Grey which really accentuates her beauty.
Shabby Love gathered some newly acquired vintage items and displayed them on her mantel.
They have a great sculptural quality. Love that it's all black, gray and shades of white and cream.
I adore this dresser! Love the color and the way it's painted.
It's another lovely creation at Trois Petites Filles.
A delightful kitchen makeover from The Sideways House caught my eye.
It's mostly paint and ingenuity that makes this kitchen charming.
The chalkboard wall adds some drama. Touches of stainless make the room feel fresh.
I think they did a fantastic job!
Sette Design painted a tired little chair and now it's all modern and cool!

Now let's have a little Easter...
I'm afraid I'm not going to put up any Easter decor this year.
I'm just too busy with starting the new job.
And this week I could either decorate for Easter or paint the dining room.
I'm going to go with painting the dining room.

But look at what other's have been up to in the Easter department.
Simply Suzannes cooked up these sparkly Easter sugar cookies.
She has some other great ideas too...you'll want to check out her other ideas.
Super sweet this bunny silhouette is from Restoration Redoux.
And who doesn't love deviled eggs for Easter.
Old Things New tells you how to make these colorful ones.
I actually have Easter off from work so perhaps I can make a batch of these.

Share your Mod Mix's in this week's party below.

Outdoor Decor

Mod Mix Monday continued...

Lots of good ideas in that photo.
A simple bench piled with pillows becomes a great space to hang out on the patio.
Crates full of herbs....burlap sacks covering pots.
Lights and birdhouses.

I'm enjoying this summer so much!
The weather has been so fabulous!
We were in the 80's last week and in the 90's this week.
Perfect summer weather.
Last year we had like two months in a row of temps over 100.
So this cooler summer with lots of rain is really a treat.
Which makes me enjoy being outside all the more.

This time of year also brings sales on outdoor furniture in stores.
Which I really love...I'm no where near tired of decorating outside.
And from the link ups last week to Mod Mix Monday...neither are you.

I've been finding good deals on outdoor stuff to add to my outdoor living area.
I'll show soon.

But for now...here are my favorite outdoor projects from last week's
Mod Mix Monday.

This week's party is still going on..link up here.
Laurel of The North End Loft shared her cute little potting bench.
Look at this cute little garden banner she made to decorate the bench!
Laura of Cottage and Broome showed off her amazing backyard.
The focus of her post...her wonderful vintage chaise lounge which she painted and accessorized.
Sweet!
The Scribbler from Scribbler Unfocused has been busy painting all her wicker furniture in
bright pastel colors this year. The pink victorian rocker is her latest transformation.
Her garden room is such a pretty happy place.
Heather of Friendship, Life and Style had a summer tea.
Oh...My! I love that china!
What a pretty table she set.

The LA Shop

Outdoor Market Umbrella
My new market umbrella from

As I said yesterday, The LA Shop contacted me and asked me if I'd like to try out
I chose the white 8 ft market umbrella.
It sells for $59.99.
Which is a great price for an outdoor umbrella!
The quality is as good as any I've seen in a store.
It screwed together easily and raised smoothly.
Dinner for one on the patio under my new shade providing market umbrella.
It comes in these colors in sizes...8 ft...9 ft and 10 ft.
The really cool thing is you can buy replacement canopies for it too
So if you already have an umbrella that is not looking so hot...you can order
a replacement canopy! Good to know!
They also carry shade sails. I was tempted to get one of these.
A large offset umbrella would be very handy over a seating area.
You can also get a mosquito screen for it.
Something else they carry is replacement canopies for iron gazebos in 8x8, 10x10 and 12x12.
I bet many of you have gazebos whose tops are fading or threadbare...this solves the problem.
They also have led garden lights.
This is just a small assortment of some of the many things they carry that I thought you might find of use.
Franklin gets in the photo shoot.
Franklin and I didn't realize how badly we needed this umbrella till we got it.
It really adds to the ambience of the deck.

Anyway...just wanted to give a huge thumbs up for my new
market umbrella from The LA Shop.

Shipment was super quick too!

They have coupons and free shipping going on right now...
So take a peek at The LA Shop.

Mod Mix Monday #105

Creative!
Isn't this a delightful bedroom? See the vintage suitcases under the bed for storage?
Great idea there.
Then do you see what the headboard is made of?
It's drawers! Lot's of drawers painted and turned flat on the wall.
Lots of storage in that and the curved lines of the top and side drawers bring
just enough flair to the concept.

Here we go with my faves from last week....
Lisa of CreateInspire...painted up this Depression Era hutch in a new way.
Love the way she painted the outside and the inside which is a pretty shade of blue.
Nothing depressing about it now!
Fabiana of Ciao! Newport Beach shared photos of a 1912 cottage on the
Newport Harbor Home and Garden tour. Lots of pretty rooms but I really loved the living room.
Laura of Whimsical Perspective revealed her redone living room which included
her new fireplace mantel. Love the color of it.
Lisa of Helene's Legacy shared her precious little bathroom.
I love the Chinese inspired toile wallpaper, the sconces, the sink and the faucet.
And wait till you see what this pup is so happy about!
Ok, this one floored me -
Kelly of My Soulful Home took her old indoor sofa and redid it into an outdoor sofa!
It's amazing...isn't it? Like I want an old sofa...now to do this to.
You have to see the before on this.

Time to link up what you've been up to lately.
