Mod Mix Monday #164

 via
Just yummy is all I can say about this bedroom.
Take an old early American bed and paint it aqua and layer on the colorful bed clothes.
Just pretty.

Pretty things in last week's Mod Mix Monday...here we go with my faves!
Deb of Lavendar Garden Cottage found herself this amazing faux wood bird bath.
The Weathered Door knocked off a geometric headboard from Urban Outfitters.
It's crazy good.
Janet of Rosemary and Thyme shared some special local haunts.
There are really some great decorating ideas among her photos which include
that blue cabinet outside.
Marijana of Macca brought a little of the sea indoors.
She distressed a box and filled with trinkets of the ocean.
Darrielle of DD's Cottage took a so so buffet and made it wonderful!

My this summer is just racing along...I see everyone is starting to think about fall.
I am so not ready to think about it.

I'm starting to see pumpkins popping up on Pinterest when I go look.

and I actually feel...like ugh...when I see them.
I'm just not feeling it.

I truly will not be in the mood for fall till October 1.

How about you are you getting in the mood for fall?

Mod Mix Monday #161

 via
I happened upon that room above while browsing through summer home tours.
This is the home of Michael of Inspired by Charm.
The room is vintage and fun!

So I skipped a week on Mod Mix Monday.
I've had a lot going on. I'll tell you about later.
Nothing good. But I'll live through it.

Let's take a look at my favorites from last time...
Revi of Revisionary Life went crazy with the paint and faux finish on this french desk
and it turned out just perfect.
I'm totally in love with this Hosta garden from Phyliss of Grandparents Plus.
Who says you need flowers? You don't if you have plenty of shade.
Just Jan had lots of pretty blue blossoms to show of in the form of hydrangeas and wisteria.
Vickie of Ranger 911 filled an old cupboard with a stash of vintage quilts she
recently purchased. She is trying to decide whether to paint the cabinet or not.
Usually I'm all about painted furniture but I'm really loving this as is.
A wonderful vertical pallet succulent garden by Cassie at Kent Heartstrings

Ok, that was all good wasn't it?

Mod Mix Monday #159

I love how light and fresh that dining room is above
Filling your fireplace with stacked wood is all the rage.
I just saw an article about Patrick Dempsey showing his Malibu home
and he had a whole wall stacked with wood like that.
It was very cool.

My question is - doesn't that attract bugs?
I sure think it would.

But I love all about that room above and the wood really balances the sweetness of all else.

I got last week's Mod Mix Monday up late so we had only a small number of entries.
But they were good!
Here are my faves....
Cecilia of My Thrift Store Addiction shared her secret garden.
Mary of Orphans with Make Up shared this beauty.
Yep...she works wonders with paint.
Nicki of tshirt & jeans shared her wrapping skills.
Babies Breath makes the perfect topper for a gift.
Who would have thought?

Darrielle of DD's Cottage is always coming up with a surprising creation.
This week's creation is just her style.
Jan of Just Jan shared all the lovely hydrangeas drying around her home.
