Mod Mix Monday #175

So I skipped Mod Mix Monday for a couple of weeks and I'm picking it up where I left off.
It's time to get busy decorating for Christmas.
I am so inspired by that photo above... it's all so pretty...but
notice the urn full of balls inside the fireplace!
Isn't that a great idea?
Angie found this wonderful tin bucket on wheels and immediately knew it was
the perfect container for a little Christmas tree on her patio.
I love that she filled the base with apples and nuts!
Ms. Bingles has started up this year's Christmas tree shop.
She makes the most amazing Christmas trees from vintage odds and ends and then
auctions them off on Ebay. This is just one of many.
Diane of Adirondack Girl @ Heart made these cute little Christmas tags from an old wood skirt.
She shares how she made them on her blog.
Priscilla of Priscilla's put together this super festive Christmas Mantel.
Kathleen aka Charm Bracelet Diva took and ordinary little dining chair
and turned it into something special with a slip cover
Jody of Southern Seazons put together this pretty centerpiece for Thanksgiving.
Christine of Little Brags always has something great going on - on her front porch
and Thanksgiving was no different. Her pretty bunny always enjoys the decor.

Marianne of Macca shared this wonderful old shabby fountain.
It's charming!

Mod Mix Monday #149

Super late getting this up...I know.
I had a nice Easter although a little strange.
We went to a Chinese Buffet!
It was delicious...although not the typical Easter fare.
Last night I just fell asleep and didn't get this up....so sorry about that.
Here are my favorites from last week's Mod Mix Monday!
Patti of Old Things New shared photos of her daughter's adorable vintage apartment.
Melanie of Lost and Found painted up a very cute dresser.
Christine of Little Brags let us see her very own Easter Bunny.
He lives at her house year round. Isn't she lucky?
Darrielle of DD's Cottage painted up an old french mirror. It's divine now!
Notice how pretty all is in the reflection!
I love Butterfly and Bungalow's kitchen so every time she shares it, I pretty much show it.
Look at the eggs they colored for easter and the pretty roses from her garden.
But what always gets me is her frig!
Pennsylvania French painted this art deco vanity, named her Tansy and gave her a back story.
I love the story she came up with. You'll enjoy it too.
Donna of An Anglo in Quebec placed grocery store flowers all about her home to add a bit of early spring.
I'm partial to this pot of hydrangeas. This shot looks straight out of a magazine...doesn't it?

Mod Mix Monday #148

I'm all about spring decorating at the moment.
That room above just screams spring!
Open the windows...hear the birds sing and enjoy the fresh spring air.
So...I'm all about spring but have not done much about it,
I've been too busy with the new job but
I have two days off in the middle of the week and hope to get some projects knocked out.
One of which includes painting the dining room.
I know...that's a big one...but do-able.

I might be too busy with work but my readers are busy getting things done.
Let's take a look at my favorites from last week's Mod Mix Monday.
I'm a sucker for this type of buffet. I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, I can't get enough of them.
Orphans With Make Up painted this one in Paris Grey which really accentuates her beauty.
Shabby Love gathered some newly acquired vintage items and displayed them on her mantel.
They have a great sculptural quality. Love that it's all black, gray and shades of white and cream.
I adore this dresser! Love the color and the way it's painted.
It's another lovely creation at Trois Petites Filles.
A delightful kitchen makeover from The Sideways House caught my eye.
It's mostly paint and ingenuity that makes this kitchen charming.
The chalkboard wall adds some drama. Touches of stainless make the room feel fresh.
I think they did a fantastic job!
Sette Design painted a tired little chair and now it's all modern and cool!

Now let's have a little Easter...
I'm afraid I'm not going to put up any Easter decor this year.
I'm just too busy with starting the new job.
And this week I could either decorate for Easter or paint the dining room.
I'm going to go with painting the dining room.

But look at what other's have been up to in the Easter department.
Simply Suzannes cooked up these sparkly Easter sugar cookies.
She has some other great ideas too...you'll want to check out her other ideas.
Super sweet this bunny silhouette is from Restoration Redoux.
And who doesn't love deviled eggs for Easter.
Old Things New tells you how to make these colorful ones.
I actually have Easter off from work so perhaps I can make a batch of these.
