Mod Mix Monday #1

Mixing It Up
Welcome to the first Mod Mix Monday.
I went antique browsing last week and found a really great new antique shop near downtown OKC.
I'll show all I found there next week.
But one of my favorite things in their shop was this table with it's modern profile.
Love that chrome pedestal/leg thing!
This table would be fantastic plopped in the middle of my dining room mixed with some traditional chairs.
One of my most admired Mod Mixes ever is this room -

Yes, most of this room is traditional but that modern saarinen tulip table makes the room.
Although the tulip table was invented back in the 60's. It's considered modern in style.
One of my favorite things in my living room is that lamp back there in the corner.
It's an old vintage plant stand that I added a modern paper lantern to, creating a floor lamp.
I had a mod rug in my living room for awhile but decided it made the room too busy.
But hey...I tried it.
Now, lets see what you've got that's a Mod Mix!
Link up your posts below.

Sorry! Dah.
Somehow I linked up twice :(
It said that I lost my Internet connection so I did it over again (and I was in a hurry because of the siren going off for the tornado warning) I just came back to see if the last one worked and...dang! I'm seeing double.
But Hey! I'm love the Mod Mix!

I wish my dining set was in better shape. My parents bought it in the late 50's and thought it was solid teak. They found out, when they tried to refurbish it, many years later that it was just a veneer. I still use it but now I probably will have to paint it cause it would cost a fortune to put a new veneer on it.

Hi Nita,
First of all, let me say I am so sorry that I spelled your name wrong when I first put up my new post. I have fixed it now, though. I love this, it is right down my alley, I love to use vintage items when I decorate, but it takes a bit of skill to mix it with new items. I am learning.
Thanks so much for this party! I love your living room mod-vintage lamp, it is so pretty and so pink! I love pink!
Hugs, Cindy
