Last Minute Halloween

We can't depend on the Wicked Witch of the West to come down the chimney....
and make it a perfect Halloween...but
I found some great last minute ideas for Halloween on Pinterest
that will add to your Halloween festivities.
Martha always does the best Halloween stuff.
How about a quick cut up of a black or white t-shirt to turn it into a special Halloween top?
Just some kisses and cookies make these cute witch's hat cookies.
Add a Peep Ghost to any hot drink and you've got a Halloween party in a cup.
cellophane bags of marshmellows become instant ghosts.

Pier 1 has marked all their Halloween down 50%.
These are some of my favorites that are still available.
There are still lots of good things.

Like this cute witch's apron.
A fabulous witch's hat

cute sparkly owl
magical vine pumpkins

And now I'm going to go make pumpkin muffins for a friend.

Have you tried this recipe? I got it a couple of years ago from

This is my kind of recipe...super simple.

Preheat oven to 425

1 box spice cake mix and 1 can of pumpkin.
Mix together put in cupcake liners in a cupcake pan.
The dough will be very stiff.
That is fine.
Cook 18 minutes.

That's it!

They are so good.

I can imagine they'd be great with chocolate chips mixed in or nuts and with
a cinnamon vanilla icing on top. But I like them just plain.

Thanks, Nita. These are some great tips for last minute Halloween!

Does Pier 1 corporate know how amazingly talented you are and how popular your blog is? You should be their blogger because they have such cute stuff that would look so cute in your cottage and you could style everything and help them sell tons of stuff!!!

Just a thought.....
