Open House Sunday

A Bang of a Bungalow in Austin
Not sure how old this bungalow is but it's most likely 1915 - 1925 or so.
I love the grey and white color scheme outside.
And then there is the punch of color in a bright green door!
The woodwork is really something. I adore that doorway
and those leaded glass windows.
Lots of good light in this home.
The house is full of modern cottage furniture.
That red table is super great.
That built in is very unusual. I'm doubting it's original to the house...it's so unusual.
Simple interiors that looks so fresh in this vintage home.
Cozy tv room with a mid century modern flair.
Original cabinets on one side with stainless shelving, stove and work table on the other.
Most kitchens in this era only had cabinets on the one side - the sink side.
My own kitchen was like this.
This is a good way to solve the storage issue without adding more cabinets.
This home was redone and designed by Regan Baker of Regan Baker Designs.
It was her own home and recently sold.

You'll see other great houses she's designed on her website

Here's a heads up on a good deal at
They just marked down a bunch of drinking glasses and stemware to $1.98 each.

Many, many styles. Lots of good stuff.
My fellow co-workers and I have each filled a basket full to take home.
But there are plenty more to be had...at least for this week or so.

So if you are looking for some very nice drink ware on sale...get yourself on down to your
local Pier 1.

I bought these yesterday - twelve of the goblets but I might have to get the tumblers too.
I loved them at $7 each but at $1.98....oh...that was a no brainer.
I wanted them before but I HAD to have them at that price.

You'll see them soon on my open kitchen shelves.
They are the perfect thing to finish out the decor on those shelves.

Plus it was fun buying them because each of us girls was buying the discounted glasses and
we all got something different.

Fun to see which each one chose.

Oh....the pleasure of small things.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

OMG. THIS is PERFECTION.
I am "pinning" the whole damn thing!
I love the simple landscaping.
(I would paint the front door Yellow because I'm all about yellow & grey at the moment) but that is the ONLY thing I would change. If I had money to buy this home, I would have to purchase all the furnishings. Truly - Love at First sight.
Thanks! great way to start my morning!

Great house for sure! Love the lines of it. So different to have the bedroom right off the living room. That will make one make their bed each day. :) Kit

Really cute house! I was trying to figure out the layout of the house. I notice there is a second front door, does it lead into the dining room? And, is that unique built-in in the dining room? Also, do you think the bedroom was originally the dining room? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm fascinated with such things. :-)

That is one gorgeous house! It was obvious from the start that it was professionally designed. It's perfection.
