Mod Mix Monday #69

Elegance Redefined
How elegant is this room without being stuffy?
I'm crazy for those tulip tables though. So I am biased. I like them in just about any room.
But mix it with those chairs and that ornate armoire....just amazing.
Notice the old frame chalkboard?
I still have not tired of those.
I found the perfect large frame to make one for my living room recently.
Alas it was $100...which was a good price because it was HUGE....
but it was $100 I didn't have.
Don't you hate it when you find the perfect thing at a good price and you still can't buy it?
That happens to me all the time.

Last week's Mod Mix Monday was full of it again.
And by full of it...I mean in a good way.

The Style Sisters are back with this pretty dining room.
I can't resist a shabby chic dining table.
Love the way this is styled.
This post is really about the black sideboard added to the room but I couldn't help but show the table.
I practically begged Cindy of Oakview Cottage to link up this week.
I love this vignette so much...a vintage fan sitting on a silver tray with those vintage milk bottles?
It's just so pretty without being too sweet.
Melissa of Daisy Mae Belle has her whole house done up in wonderful fall decor.
It was hard for me to choose what to show. It's all good.
Betsy Speert shared a new waxing technique.
It really creates an authentic looking vintage finish.
You know the kind....the kind with a little dirt.
This vintage sewing table became her new printer stand in her office.
Jen of City Farmhouse bought an old stereo cabinet for $10.
Yes, that is right...$10 and turned it into this fabulous console.
Doesn't it look great in her room?
Jen also made these super cute pumpkins out of linen, driftwood and toilet paper rolls.
Yes, that's right...toilet paper rolls.
And finally, Whimsical Perspective took a boring wall and made
it NOT boring. I really like those metal basket shelf things on the wall.
All of it compliments the table perfectly.

See I told you it was a lot.
But I just have to share all the ones I loved the most each week.

Please link up what you are up to this week on this week's Mod Mix Monday below.

Remember anything old made over to be new...anything new changed up to look old.
New and old together...
Please include the Mod Mix Monday logo and back link to me.
Use a permalink to your post, for sure.

If you link up...I'd appreciate it, if you'd follow me.

We had a tulip table in the 70's growing up. My sister now has it and it still looks great. Nice features from last week, thanks for hosting, Laura

Ohhhhhhh, I love EVERYTHING!
Now I'm tempted to drag my china hutch out of the laundry room and paint it white!
Sigh. I need 2 houses, I'm having a conflict of decorating styles.
Great picks!
I'm off to visit those blogs!
:)

Hi Nita: I'd love to do an old frame chalkboard as well to hide our tv behind it! We are making some bookcases, and got a new (to us)sofa on a half-off sale at a local thrift store and the whole living/dining room is really undergoing a full change of personality--I love it! I love the elegant white room you showed us--the chandelier in the room is especially pretty, as are the wonderful features you chose this week. Have a wonderful rest of your week, and thank you so much for hosting the party for us today!
