Patios

I think this is just about perfection.
Oh how I'd like to add a sunroom and patio like that on to the back of my house.
I sat outside tonight and thought about this, imagining how it would look.
I did this while Violet hunted locusts.
It was actually at 3am because only then was it a nice temperature outside.
I love how quiet all is at night.
Oh the things I'd like to do out back.
Some day when the deck gets all run down...I'd like to replace it with a raised stone patio
with lower patios out into the yard.

A girl can dream and dream and dream.

ALl the images are great, but that first one is close to perfection...you are so right! I love the shape of the garden room adjacent to the patio. Gorgeous!

I adore our home, *but* the one thing I do not like and cannot change is that since we live on a mountain, there is not a single level square inch on our entire property, so we have a rather large deck and that's it for us! Our last house had a large bluestone patio, and I never thought how much I would miss it, but I do miss it terribly. It must be the Taurus in me that loves terra firma!!!

Lovely post, Nita.

I really like the romantic one with the french windows and the banquette. U know how much i love romantic decor. We've sooo been in patio mode lately. The back of our house has two sets of french doors, one off the main living area, the other from the game room?man cave. Couple yrs ago we added a pool. An above ground which we dug out and sunk into the ground. We've been adding alil bit more deck every summer. This yr we are making some repairs and painting the house. Ide hoped to have it to the "lets find some furniture" stage by now. Like u said though, a girl can dream........lOl, i did purchase a small farmhouse style table on craigslist, looking for some caneback chairs to go with it, however i do worry about putting "indoor" furniture outside...Im even looking for one of those silver "streamer" type trailers to convert to a changing room..I could go on and on, sorry. Thanks for keeping me on track with the inspiration!!!!!!!!

I just pinned 3 of these patios....they are sooo great Nita. My favorite is the open work screening/trellis between the columns and all the greys and blues. It is gorgeous. I love the idea of doing a lean-to~3 sided room with sunbrella panels creating a cabana effect garden style! 3am??? We operate on different time frames my friend!

So agree Nita, nothing like a beautiful patio to sit in during beautiful summer evenings and crisp fall mornings. Love the pictures above..each of them are just exquisite, especially that first one..dreamy!

I dream about this all the time too! I want something that comes off of my kitchen so I can sit out there in the winter and enjoy breakfast in warmth but surrounded by nature.
