Mod Mix Monday #182

via
Wow! That is one Big Mod Pink Chair!
Isn't she pretty? Love Love Love her!
Wish her were mine.

For all who have inquired Violet is still doing well.
No seizures since getting on phenobarbitol. She only takes it once a day.
It makes her a little sleepy at night but other than that...she acts fine.
I'm hoping this is the answer.

Now let's party!
These were my favorites from last week's Mod Mix Monday party.
Joan of Scavenger Chic made this pillow using old letter's of her Mother's.
What a great way to preserve family mementos.
Christine of Little Brags made over her entry. It reminds me of a ski lodge.
I'd say it's Winter Time Chic.
Darrielle of DD's Cottage created another masterpiece. I adore this piece of furniture!
This little desk is from Darrielle too at DD's Cottage
I know I would have passed right over this desk in it's before stage.
But it's cute as can be painted green.

Paula of Locksley Lane re-upholstered this little settee.
Isn't it precious?

Open House Sunday

Romantic Vintage Living
built 1925
This home had me at the rose lined front walkway.
Very pretty front entry.
Very inviting! I love that door! Notice the two glassed panels at top?
I don't think I've ever seen a door like this before.
Just love the little vestibule and the color of the door.
Love the front hallway.
This is all pretty much perfect. Love the old iron railing, that small chest with mirror.
The chandelier and that lamp.
The front living room could use a bit more.
It needs more art on the walls.
But I've always loved a sofa that shape. Those chairs are a bit stuff though.
Very pretty fireplace. I'd be happy with that.
This room would be better with the addition of drapes.
Notice the detailed crown molding.
I love the color of this hallway.
I think this is just a big open hallway between rooms in the house. I really like that.
 Into the dining room...
I'm very disappointed by this room.
I'm way over red dining rooms and this one seems out of place with the rest of the house.
The new owners should paint this room a nice neutral or blue color immediately.
It's a very nice room....I just hate the color.
But there is nothing wrong with this kitchen!
Huge stainless Viking stove! Super Great!
Love all the marble!
Love the subway tile!
Oh...yes...I could be very happy in this room. I'm not fond of green walls but that's an easy fix.
Everything else is perfect. Oh, I'd probably change the light fixtures.
Love the sweet romantic banquet complete with even sweeter puppy.
I'd prefer a white wood table in this space, however.
But I adore all those pillows!
up the stairs....
Very nice open master. I wish I had a bedroom this big.
I wish I had the guts to tear down a wall in my house so that I'd have a big bedroom.
Really, I do.
Oh...a window seat. Just love me a window seat.
Bathroom is nice. That is kind of an odd shower and I'd prefer cabinets that looked more furniture like.

But this is very nice just the same.
This would make a great little girl's room.
Cute built ins.
A simple but pretty vintage bath.
 A boy's room.
Back down stairs is this den on the back of the house.
Really love this big ottoman.
This is probably the room the family is in all the time.
hmmm...that's an oddly placed rug. And it doesn't go with the decor at all.
It has french doors that go out to the patio.
A rather formal little backyard.
I'd have to plant some trees in that yard. But it's very sweet just like this house!

See the full listing here.

Thanks for all your kind comments and congratulations yesterday on my new job.

I'll let you know more about it as things develop.

I'm sure I'll be blogging about the good stuff there.

Funny, that I'll be selling new furniture when I prefer old furniture myself.

Every piece of furniture in my house came either from the Salvation Army, a Yard Sale,
an Antique Store, the Flea Market or as a hand me down.

Oh...I have that ottoman from Pier 1 and a few small things from Hobby Lobby.

But mostly it's all vintage.

I really doubt I'll be buying much new for my house while working there.

But I'll have fun helping others pick out what they need for their own homes.

Although, I already have my eye on a lamp!
Yikes! The last thing I need is a lamp. But I do love me some lamps.

I still have't found a spot for the last lamp I bought!

Mod Mix Monday #122

Halloween is upon us...although I've spent the last two days decorating for Christmas at the store.
That is why this post is late...I was there very late last night and very early this morning.

I don't know where that image above came from originally, I bet one of you do.
It's just one of the great Halloween ideas I have in my

There were some great Halloween ideas in last week's Mod Mix Monday too.

Let's look...
Just look at Revi of Revisonary Life's Fall transitioned living room!
It is Elegant, Industrial and Eclectic just as she says. I like how it's all creamy and gray.
Angela of Number Fifty Three got a new old hobnail light fixture.
It looks great in her space...but be sure to notice her cat.
He doesn't look happy about the situation...
He looks like a super hero with those markings.
Melinda of The Refeathered Roost had this lovely pumpkin display in her garden.
Denise of Denise on a Whim painted up a bunch of cute vintage inspired fall signs.
Don't these look straight out of a pumpkin patch?
Kim at Made in a Day made a magical banner to hang on her chalkboard.
I love the whole display.
Christine of Little Brags shared her fall porch display which includes a Scary Boo Bunny!
Kim of Reposhture created a really unusual Fall front porch.
I adore those bundles on the doors. Kim's always full of unusual ideas.
