Tudor in Buckhead Neighborhood of Atlanta
built in 1929
This large tudor is brimming over with original details and lovely modernizations.
And the grounds surrounding it are like a beautiful park.
Enjoy!
Quite the expanse of green lawn!
Such a great front door under the shade of the portico!
The paint colors and light fixtures add to the ambiance of this home.
I love those big blue pots there in the distance filled with boxwoods.
Arches painted out in light grey highlight the features of this home without making the walls feel heavy.
What do you think about these dark walls.
Usually, I don't care for dark walls but I love them for this room.
There is not a thing I'd change about this room.
Then in this den we have navy lacquered walls!
Another choice I'd never think to do but I am really liking it quite a bit.
I love those dark green velvet chairs in this room too.
Doesn't this room almost feel you are under the sea?
Here is the living room....Look at that row of arches! So quaint and pretty!
Love the nook the fireplace sits in...and that it's painted the dark blue.
What a wonderful space! I love the very collected furnishings.
What about this kitchen? Just about perfect, I'd say.
Yes, this kitchen would do me just fine.
Love the beamed ceilings.
Simple bath...I like that shelf over the toilet very much.
What do you think about the wallpaper in this bedroom? It certainly modernizes the space.
Ok, there is one thing in this bath I love.
It's all pretty but I adore having a bathroom mirror in front of a window.
My cousin had a bathroom like this with a mirror in the middle of the window.
When she bought the house we both didn't care for it but we soon changed our minds.
We both grew to love it. It gives you the best light to do your makeup and it's unusual.
This is a very pretty bathroom and that mirror just makes it for me.
Another pretty bath. Lots of gray in this home.
Another very traditional bedroom that is updated with the fabrics and rug.
I'm not sure about this bath but then I'm not much of a green person...unless it's outside.
I do like the wallpaper pattern...just not the color.
Can a drive way be pretty? Oh yes it can!
The grounds around this house are just spectacular.
Can you imagine taking a stroll through this every morning?
Lots of outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the gardens.
Just look at this patio area! A little over grown in just the right way.
I love the color all the trim is painted on this house.
This home just has space after beautiful space.

I have been missing Open House Sundays.... I must say my favorite thing about this house is the grounds. Not in love with most of the inside, at all. Costs way too much for me to make the needed changes I would need to make! So glad though, to see Open House Sunday!
This is a beautiful house and I love the fact that it was updated to lighten it up a bit while keeping the lovely vintage character. I might not have chosen some of the design elements, like the wallpaper in the bedroom, yet it all works. My favorite room is the den which is surprising because I would think the combination of dark olive green and blue would be too heavy. Maybe the glossy walls give the color scheme life (another daring choice I would not have thought of). Anyway, you're right, it would be like sitting in the blue lagoon.
The grounds are stunning; lush yet manicured. My absolute favorite thing is the rustic little bridge. I have always had a thing for little bridges in the garden so that would be a dream come true.
Thanks, I enjoyed touring this lovely home.
I REALLY like this house. The bathroom is perfect, to me. I'm not too crazy about the dark blue/green walls, but I do like the unique nooks around the fireplace. Very interesting.
This house is beautifully done top to bottom. I really enjoyed the tour.
That house is absolutely stunning! It looks like something from Great Britain, I love it!!!
I love this Buckhead Tudor. I lived there as a baby and preschooler. Pretty area of Atlanta!
This Home has so much Character and Charm... and those Navy Lacquered Walls and Ceiling also Appealed to me! The Grounds are what absolutely took my breath away, with the Amazing Architecture and such a Garden, who would ever want to go anywhere but HOME?! We are going to be Selling our Historic Home since at this Season of Life it became too much for me to keep up with... and we are now Enjoying a New Home that is built to resemble a Historic Tuscan Villa... but without the Labor of Love a Hundred Plus year old Home like our Old Homestead requires, not the Work on Maintaining Acreage. It is bittersweet tho' since we do so Love Historic Buildings and saying a Forever Good-Bye won't be easy. Happy Thanksgiving and Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
