Open House Sunday

Follow the Yellow Door!
 built 1929
in the Morningside addition of Atlanta
This old tudor has been modernized with bright color choices.

Look how fun and inviting the front door is to this place - complete with gray and yellow awning.
You step into the sun porch.
I love how they mixed traditional with bright pops of color along with neutrals to create
a modern and fun but still tasteful home.
The yellow and gray color scheme continues into the front living room.
Just enough yellow to make it a happy place.

The yellow continues into the dining with the rug but the rest of the room goes cool blue.
Love the art propped on the chair rail.
I love that they did a nice classic kitchen in this home instead of something very modern.
The sitting room off the kitchen has pops of orange.
A single man friend of mine recently bought an orange sofa without consulting me.
Everyone told him he'd made a mistake.
He loved it and just bought cause he liked it but then was regretting the decision because everyone told him he should have bought neutral.
I told him not to worry, we'd make that orange sofa work in his apartment.
We'd add neutrals around it and it would be amazing. Which it is.
I think this orange sofa is perfect in this room.

Love the bright paintings on the wall in the stairway.
Notice the brightly colored fish in the aquarium? They fit right in with the color scheme of this home.
Tranquil bedroom with bits of color.
 A pretty little bath.
The outdoor space has nice details too. Notice how the garage is surrounded by lots of
potted containers?
That makes the driveway appear to be an extension of the patio instead of just a
place to park your car.

Open House Sunday

Tudor in Buckhead Neighborhood of Atlanta
built in 1929
This large tudor is brimming over with original details and lovely modernizations.
And the grounds surrounding it are like a beautiful park.
Enjoy!
Quite the expanse of green lawn!
Such a great front door under the shade of the portico!
The paint colors and light fixtures add to the ambiance of this home.
I love those big blue pots there in the distance filled with boxwoods.
Arches painted out in light grey highlight the features of this home without making the walls feel heavy.
What do you think about these dark walls.
Usually, I don't care for dark walls but I love them for this room.
There is not a thing I'd change about this room.
Then in this den we have navy lacquered walls!
Another choice I'd never think to do but I am really liking it quite a bit.
I love those dark green velvet chairs in this room too.
Doesn't this room almost feel you are under the sea?
Here is the living room....Look at that row of arches! So quaint and pretty!
Love the nook the fireplace sits in...and that it's painted the dark blue.
What a wonderful space! I love the very collected furnishings.
What about this kitchen? Just about perfect, I'd say.
Yes, this kitchen would do me just fine.
Love the beamed ceilings.
Simple bath...I like that shelf over the toilet very much.
What do you think about the wallpaper in this bedroom? It certainly modernizes the space.
Ok, there is one thing in this bath I love.
It's all pretty but I adore having a bathroom mirror in front of a window.
My cousin had a bathroom like this with a mirror in the middle of the window.
When she bought the house we both didn't care for it but we soon changed our minds.
We both grew to love it. It gives you the best light to do your makeup and it's unusual.
This is a very pretty bathroom and that mirror just makes it for me.
Another pretty bath. Lots of gray in this home.
Another very traditional bedroom that is updated with the fabrics and rug.
I'm not sure about this bath but then I'm not much of a green person...unless it's outside.
I do like the wallpaper pattern...just not the color.
Can a drive way be pretty? Oh yes it can!
The grounds around this house are just spectacular.
Can you imagine taking a stroll through this every morning?
Very very pretty little bridge over a stream.
Lots of outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the gardens.
Just look at this patio area! A little over grown in just the right way.
I love the color all the trim is painted on this house.
This home just has space after beautiful space.

Open House Sunday

Tudor Cottage
Excuse my inadequacies. I did not save the listing on this house.
I think it's in Atlanta but I am not sure.
I would guess it was built in the early thirties.
But even though I don't know the details, we can still enjoy a look.
 Charming front stoop
I love the fireplace and cabinets in this home. They are so cottage perfect.
I wish the rug was neutral like sea grass and the walls not so yellow but other than that
I love this room. Oh...maybe a different coffee table too.
The dining room is very brown town. Imagine this with a white dining room table at normal height.
Pub height is too informal. Wouldn't take much for this room to be stunning.
I love all the windows in the kitchen!

Sweet little bath. I love the art on the wall. Isn't that fun?
Little goldfish swimming around!

I like the blue walls in the master.

 Lots of space outdoors!
This backyard is not meeting it's full potential. It would be lots of fun for an avid gardener.
Nice big deck to enjoy the nature on.
I could live here in a heart beat.
I know Franklin would enjoy it...I'm sure there are lots of squirrels to chase.

Have a great Sunday!
