I adore my little Storybook home. My neighborhood is full of them....
here are a few examples of some of my neighbor's homes....

As I was saying...I adore my Storybook home but sometimes I fantasize about what I would build if there was one empty lot still available in my neighborhood or heaven forbid my home got totally blown away in a tornado.
Yikes!
I should never have said that....
I do NOT want my home to get blown away!

Anyway, I sometimes fantasize about building one of these storybook homes by this incredible company just for fun.
They sell books of their plans. Most builders don't get the right proportion or details when designing these type of homes. But these are just delightful and just right.

Loved seeing the pictures of your neighborhood. I have walk about a half mile or so out of mine to go visit the houses like these. It's one of my favorite places to walk, just to see the older houses.

Oooh look at that last one with the turquoise door and window! That's absolutely one of the neatest houses I've seen! LOVE it!

Nita, you are SO LUCKY to live in a Storybook home! I *knew* I was partial to your home for a reason, it is so charming! We have many Storybook homes and homes that have been made into apartments here in the Los Angeles area, and I would *LOVE* to live in one. I'd really like to buy the books with the plans in them, just so I can keep them on hand and dream about owning one. The one in the second drawing is the one I have had my eye on for some time, it is probably too big for me and 3 cats, but I have a friend with an amazing green thumb and he I am sure would be happy to set up the atrium for me!
(I see Erin has commented on the one with the turquoise accents! LOL! I'm a huge fan of aqua/turquoise and all shades of it, and am a huge fan of Erin's blogs, and have been following them longer than any other blog. It's nice to see her here!)

I would want to live in a storybook home! These houses are absolutely gorgeous! Two years ago, I visited a very beautiful storybook house, namely The Witch House in Beverly Hills, California. I was very impressed of this wonderful cottage! The owner, Michael Libow plans to preserve it for the historical society. very nice of him! You're perfectly right, living in one of these amazing homes would surely mean living happily ever after...:)
