Spring Florals

Pretty sunny days this week and I'm thinking of spring.
I'm making a spring project for JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores.
I had my choice of styles to choose from -
Nautical
Color of the Year - Radiant Orchid
Geometric
or
Spring Florals

After wandering around Jo-Ann for hours. I finally decided on
Spring Florals.

Big surprise there...as seems I'm always drawn to florals.

I really wanted to just buy something cute accessory and display it but it is a craft challenge.
So I must make something.

I could not decide what....so I finally just bought fabric I like and in the next day or two
I'll make something of it.
I've been browsing Pinterest for inspiration.
 via
The trick with florals is for them not to be too fussy.
 via
Or maybe they are fine..fussy because
 I love that bed above.
Love everything about this photo.
I wanted to do something with floral paper but couldn't find one that spoke to me.
 via
I thought about sewing up a duvet or a shower curtain.
 via
Maybe a patchwork of florals?

I really don't know what I'm going to make for sure.
The fabric I finally bought I think would make great curtains in the den...but
in order to show them...I'd have to have a new sofa or at least a slip cover.
The den sofa...is very ugly.

Perhaps I'll have a new one soon.
Things are changing around here.
Or will be changing soon.
Hopefully for the better...perhaps for the worst.

I really don't know yet.

I'll let you know.

But in the meantime...I'll figure out what to do with my fabric.

I've almost finished the cabinet in the living room.
It painted up quickly but has taken awhile to distress.
Tomorrow I have the day off and hopefully nothing will come up that will keep me
from waxing it.

I'm anxious to get it back in place and out of the middle of the room.

I'm anxious to see what you make, Nita. I've started painting our master bedroom and I'd like to add in some new floral pillows or curtains. I love the inspiration photos! I hope you have time to work on your furniture today!

Love florals as well! I remember when we had floral lined drapes in the living room...Oh my that was sooo long ago. Where has the time gone.

I love spring florals. I never cared much for beige and bland. Happy florals bring a smile to my face every time. Looking forward to seeing your creation.

I like the bright spring florals in the first picture. What ever you decide get extra material and through over your sofa.
Please show us when your finished shopping

I like the duvet idea. It can set the tone for a new spring bedroom. It doesn't seem that it would be so hard to make.

I have always been drawn to florals. I miss the pretty ones from the 80's.

Love them all, but especially the one with the various floral papers mixed on the wall…so pretty!

Wow! Inspired! How about making a floral fabric tent over your ugly sofa? Like that image that showed a draped canopy? Show how ugly can work! I bet you could...you can make anything look good Nita.

Nita, I am enjoying your spring inspiration posts so much. I love florals, and I love the pretty projects you shared in the next post. I want to make a little chair filled with impatiens! So cute. I love the bold florals in this post. The tented daybed is so cute. :D I think your weenie babies would love a place like that to nap on.

Have a wonderful Sunday!
