Kitchen, Glamourized

Is this Heaven?
No, just a gorgeous kitchen.
But I could exist for eternity in this space.

I happened upon this kitchen over at The Kitchn
Wow! The over the top glamour of this place!
I love everything about this kitchen.
I go along thinking I'm pretty happy with my own little galley kitchen and then I see a kitchen like this
and suddenly my own seems so dreary and small.
Doesn't hurt that it's open to a family room.
I love the wood floor and the rustic beam above and of course the chandeliers, carrara marble.
Notice the pair of lamps flanking the sink.
Oh...doesn't that look great?
This is the before...hard to believe it's the same space.
The owner, Shawna had the brilliant idea to take the space underneath the stairs and turn it into a pantry!
Here's that heavenly shot again.
See more photos and read all about this kitchen over at

There are lots more kitchen tours on that site.
I was lost inside the site for a good hour looking at kitchen tours.

I just love a good kitchen tour!

Nita thanks so much for that beautiful kitchen tour this morning! I adore it too. I want some of those beams in my first floor and someday I hope I will have some. Assuming that house has no basement (due to the space available under the stairs)... that pantry is an absolute MUST.

It's Heaven.

That is a beautiful kitchen, but your kitchen is very pretty, dear Nita. It's nicer than a lot of kitchens that I see on-line. Just thought I'd leave a comment to tell you that! And you're not finished with it yet. :)

Sorry, IMO there are things that are attractive about it, BUT they added many things that gave this kitchen an "I have that too" trendy effect. The rustic beam placement with all of the white crown molding and ceiling molding AND bead-board together looks so out of place. The choice of counter stools for an eclectic look blending into this white kitchen, is off. Those chairs and table are nice together. The window...what is with all of that lighting around the sink sitting under a big bright open window? The chandelier pendant was all it needed with the other two over the island, which are beautiful. I also do not understand the need for two faucets placed next to the little bar sink either.

Gosh! It's like looking at Liz Taylor's diamonds and I have to admit I love it. Elena, above, may be right, I don't know, but it's awfully pretty to me.

I couldn't agree more Nita! That is one of the most gorgeous spaces I've ever seen! I pinned every single picture of it to my kitchen board. I even love that rustic beam in the ceiling.

Gorgeous space... from the high-level framework all the way to the smallest detail. We redid our kitchen a year ago, and it was featured on apartment therapy -- check it out there:
