Sparkling Kitchens

When it comes to kitchens, I just can't get enough sparkle.
Glass, white tile, lots of silver and crystal.
I struggled with my own kitchen decor till I gave up color and just went
with white, black and silver.
The more stainless or silver touches, the better in my opinion.
Someday I'll have a stainless hood over my stove.
or perhaps a white and stainless oven too.
That island is pretty amazing.
I've shown this kitchen before.
The chandelier and metal top on the island just make this kitchen.
I've shown this one too before..really love all the silver in it.
That wallpaper is pretty great too.
Big stainless stove and hood...fabulous.
I'd be happy with this small version.
I never tire of the sparkle factor.

So I'm adding some more sparkle to my own kitchen.
A little stainless to be exact.

I just need to accessorize perfectly and then I'll show.

I never tire of a white kitchen.
I've always loved them and I love them now even more than ever.

You know when I bought this house one of the things I disliked the most
about it was the black faux soapstone formica countertops.

Once I gave up on color in the kitchen and just went with white, black and silver -
it made all the difference. I really like them now.

I used to think that if I could afford to change some things in my kitchen that the black countertops
would be the first thing to go.
Now they will be one of the last things I'll change.

Do you have things in your house you hated at first but now have grown
to like or even love?

Right there with you about sparkly kitchens...oddly enough it's the only more feminine type of design I want in my home. I've actually come across a couple of gorgeous white kitchens with dark grey/black counter tops and I think it looks fabulous!

All those kitchens are nice. I like all of them! Some are more fancy than I would have though. I really like the one with the black island and metal top. Lots of personality in that one. Can't wait to see your sparkly updates Nita!

I am with you, Nita, I love white sparkly kitchens, too. I look forward to seeing what you have done in your kitchen. If I had anything in my kitchen that I'd do over, it would be the counters. I would go with a counter like yours, actually. I would stick with formica, but go with a solid dark grey/black.
When I first saw my house I hated the wood trim, over three years later, I've finally found a paint color that really makes them look pretty. So now I'm happy with the wood.
Have a good weekend, dear friend.
Hugs, cindy

Thanks for the "sparkle" today! I love the chandeliers...they add a special something to a kitchen! I have been busy bringing some sparkle in the way of crystal bowls and candle holders for my entry hall..the spring sunlight through my leaded glass door, hitting the crystal is so magical during the day!
Can't wait to see your kitchen photos!

Have a Great Weekend!

Hey Nita...I have seen that white and stainless stove before...I think Betsy Speert actually owns one. I adore it too. Looking forward to seeing what you are working on in your kitchen. You should enter the Cottages and Bungalows contest at WhisperWood Cottage. I think your kitchen would be a true contender!

We have the same taste in kitchens! I swear I've got most of those pinned ;) Love white. That one with the silver (SS, zinc?) topped island is a current favorite. Can't wait to see what your're doing. Hope you and the pups are well!!

Nita, you and I really do have similar taste...I love them all! So pretty. The zinc covered island is fantastic! It is my favorite. (Or at least I think it's zinc....)
