Lavender

Best Dress at the Oscars
Mila Kunis was a vision in this lavender Elie Saab gown.

This was my favorite of many great dresses at the Academy Awards last night.

I thought there were more beautiful dresses this year than any before but I loved
this lavender and lace one the best.
Which got me in a lavender mood, so I went searching for lavender inspiration.
But you know....it was described as lavender but I think it's really periwinkle and that
must be why I love it so...because periwinkle is my favorite color.
Other great dresses from Oscar
Loved all the different dresses that Ann Hathaway wore during the show.
I read that Rachel Zoe dressed her for the show....oh dear...
that means we'll hear and see all about it on the next season of the
Rachel Zoe Project.
I think I hate Rachel Zoe.
But I still watch her show.

What was your favorite dress last night?

So agreed hers was by far my favorite too..so stunning, the color, the fabric, the cut, the delicacy of it..perfection. Agree with all of your choices but Jennifer Hudsons, found it to be way too "big" too loud, too colorful, too much. The others though were all exquisite. Love all the lavender inspired pictures too:)

I love the lace on the bustline. But, I can only imagine the designer, seeing her with her had on her hip - "Very carefully remove your hand, DON'T TOUCH THE DRESS!" :o)

Mila Kunis is gorgeous and her dress was too! If we owned our own place I would definitely paint a wall lavender. I have a lavender vignette so that will have to do for now:)

Mila's was my favorite too!!! The others were ok. Hers really stood out to me.... I thought Sandra Bullock looked like Michael Jackson in a dress..... weird!

I thought she looked beautiful as well but I don't think she was my favorite. Have to ponder that one a bit more. So many were nice, I found myself saying "great dress" many times last night.

I like seeing soft colors on the actresses, and the lavender dress was very pretty. I think Gwyneth always looks great in anything she wears. I don't like red dresses...I thought Reece Witherspoon looked fantastic.

Hailee Steinfeld! I loved that she wore something age appropriate, dreamy, and still looked adorable.

I thought Mila's dress was stunning! I think that was my favorite as well. The color was lovely, the lace, the softness of her dress and it was so feminine. I also liked Halle Berry's dress and Sandra Bullock's. I think Sandra wore the red well and looked very classic with her hair up and beautiful red lipstick.

Loved that dress, and the young girl from True Grit's too. The periwinkle inspiration pics are pretty fun, too!

lol i feel the same about Rachel Zoe. she drives me "bananas" but i still watch the show. i think i just like Brad, her assistant. he's so cute. and my favorite dress was the same as yours. not only was it a beautiful dress, but she looked fabulous in it. it was made for her. the fit was perfection and the color flattered her skin tone and hair color so well.

I am in full agreement with you! We have very similar "GREAT" taste! lol I really did like Gwyneth's dress quite a lot. I think the fashions were really fabulous this year. I noticed that you left out Cate Blanchett, I thought I was the only person who didn't fall in love with her gown. I felt it looked like a picture frame around her chest. The fit and color were lovely but that one aspect I just couldn't get past. I also liked the simplicity of Reese Witherspoon's gown. She looked like Malibu Beach Barbie in it!
