I logged on today to learn that I won the giveaway over at EddieRoss.com. Look at this...

I never win anything random...ever. The only contests I win are contests I enter where a whole lot of hard work is involved. Which is good that I do win based on my abilities, occasionally. But it's nice to win something on pure luck too. Maybe this means my luck is changing for the better.

A couple of months ago I posted about some items I would buy at CSN Stores if I could. I also gave away a gift certificate to one lucky reader to purchase something there online. You can pretty much find anything you might desire from a bird bath to a bathroom vanity. But the item I want and I posted about a couple of months ago is this venetian mirror.

CSN - Venetian Mirror

Oh...yes....I need this.

This is my hall with my old painted aqua blue cupboard with a temporary mirror above it. I use this cabinet as a dressing table with all my jewelry displayed on top. I bought this cabinet at the Scott Antique Market in Atlanta over 15 years ago. It has been used in several spots in my home. In my apartment in Atlanta it was in the dining area with a large art print hung over it. Then I moved into a rent house and it went in the large kitchen. That time with a willow shelf over it full of majolica.

In this home it resides in the hall with a small mirror above it. But that mirror has always been intended as a temporary place holder. Here's a better shot of it without Sally in the foreground.

My First and Possibly Only

Last week, I'm blogging away and going through my emails when I receive an email from a representative of CSNStores.com

I had never heard of this online store which is actually like 200 stores all together where you can find tv stands, furniture, toys, home decor, and so much more! Anyway, their lovely representative....Eileen said she loved the high quality look and feel of my blog (flattery will get you everywhere) and wondered if I would be interested in doing a giveaway for my readers. First thing...I went looking for the venetian mirror I've been wanting for my hallway...there it was...just the one I've been wanting...

I have just the perfect spot for this mirror. This was in the regular CSNStore.com

Then I headed to allmodern.com

I thought I might buy this sofa for my office / library but there were so many styles it was really hard to decide.

Then I found this lamp....that just seems so Hollywood it would be hard to resist

I thought this was a cool chandelier...Would I put it in my house?...no...but it sure would be cool at my work office.

I liked this lamp too

and this headboard was dreamy and very inexpensive

Then I focused on finding the Saarinen table that I blogged about last week...

They had it!

I thought I might pair it with the ghost chairs that they carry also...but those chairs have been so over exposed...everyone has used them...

so instead I thought this chair would be perfect and is comes in several transparent colors

Aren't they darling? They look like bamboo but are made of lucite.

So pretty...

then I found the perfect chandelier that would tie the whole room together...

What fun!
