Happy Walls...Happy Room...Happy Life?
Isn't this the happiest of rooms? I adore it...
It even makes the cat happy.
See him smiling there?
I still keep going back and forth on whether I should paint my living room blue or white.
I am positive I want it white and then I see rooms like these and I'm positive I want it blue.
I have Sunday off...I already have blue paint...maybe I should just do it.
I can always change it later.
Only problem is...my ceiling is blue so if I paint the walls blue...the ceiling is going to have to go white.
That will be a pain to change back if I wish.
But still....

one and two are my faves. i notice more and more blue walls in decor even on tv shows! such a soothing color!hope you take the plunge and do it!
I love that 3rd photo with the 2 different blues and beige!!!
My bedroom is blue - haven't tired of it yet - after 2 years - which is quite miraculous for me lol
XOOX
Oh! We do think alike!
I've actually finished painting my bathroom and the top of the walls are the color of the first photo.
I've been hesitating forever to do it and now I LOVE it. The sun comes in the window and that room seems to "glow" when it used to be so dark.
My living room is White and the next room (the kitchen) is White too, but I've thought about painting it a different color...maybe the turquoise blue!?
no, it will be grey or remain white but...the next room (the laundry/mud/dog room) might just be the same bright color because it is SO happy like you said!
I say, DO it! (it's only paint)

Oh, I love that first room! I could move into it. All of these blues are beautiful. It is so hard to picture exactly how a room will look changing the color but I can't imagine you not liking it. Take a chance!
room one and two are my favorites, the second room is delightful, wow, just go ahead and do it, you will love it I know you will..Phyllis
Just go for it! I think it will look great.. and as you said you can always change it back.I think all those photos are soo pretty, the colours make me happy too. I think you will always be wondering what the blue would look like if you paint it white. take care, Maryann
You sound like me. I am such a chicken! Have you ever painted a ceiling? I haven't. I bet it would just about break your neck.
so beautiful

Hmm, show us that mantle again, the tile is blue is that right? You definitely need to paint over the white! You're to fun to live with a white living room! zzzzz
When I was living in my dear little cottage in Idaho I had a blue living room with lots of crisp white trim and moldings and touches of red. It always made me feel so happy. I say go for it!

Nita, try just painting one accent wall blue. I'm toying with the same idea in my now white kitchen which I love being white... I've painted one wall a fun color, just above the chair rail actually. I'm going to periodically change it out JUST for fun ;-)

You share the most delicious images. I agree with Patti, blue paint would really look smashing with your beautiful fireplace. I say go for it!
I would do anything to avoid painting a ceiling, though...backbreaking...is your blue paint the same as the ceiling? Could you make it lighter or darker as in pic #3? Or maybe sponge some lovely clouds onto the ceiling? Can't wait to see what you do!

Just do it -- it's not like getting married. (Much cheaper to undo).
I think it should be very pretty with your other decor. Just take the plunge.
The third picture has a blue ceiling and blue walls... But I agree, I'd go white with the ceiling if the walls are blue. The second and third pictures are my favourite.
Perhaps you could find a deeper colour of blue for your walls than the ceiling is. Or visa versa.
I hope you just go ahead with it, you will love it and then if you don't one day you can paint it again!
The first one is my favorite, and similar to my living room. I love it and every bit of color I put in looks so good with it.
We have two blue bedrooms too. My daughter's is light and our master is a dark smokey turquoise. Very soothing.I also painted the ceiling in that room. It's not that hard if it's the same as the wall color because you don't have to mask the edges.
Blue, blue, rah, rah, rah!!! We used to have a blue bedroom, and I absolutely loved it. We have a jadeite bedroom now, and it's swell, but blue is just such a lovely, soothing, uplifting color. I particularly like the curtains in pic number 2 (with the striped rug) with the blue walls. That look is just perfect for my taste! (I fear kitty may be smiling at the goldfish....eek!!)
