Easter

H A P P Y   E A S T E R !
I doubted this post was going to go up for awhile there.
I have been so sick this week...I couldn't bring myself to finish my dining room decor for Easter.
The buffet had been decorated for days but I still had some other things to add to the table.
Last weekend I'd bought moss and twig wreaths to use as charges.
But I never got around to getting napkins.
I'd seen some I wanted but thought I'd wait to see if I found something better.
Well, seeing as I didn't leave the house this week...this is as far as I got.
I do love getting all my majolica out in the spring!
The colors are so right at this time of year.
I never tire of the majolica begonia leaves.
And although I have quite a few...I want a few more.
Eggs nestled nicely into a cupcake stand.
I found sheets of moss at a local antique mall for a runner.
Moss from the Dollar Tree went inside the cupcake stand.
Who knew Dollar Tree had such cheap moss?
It's not the highest quality but it will work in most instances.
Twig wreaths also from Dollar Tree became chargers.
I've started to buy charges countless times over the last year and then put them back because they just seem so ho hum.
I'm still looking for the perfect ones.
The dishes are my Johnson Brothers's Richmond White with Luray Pastels on top of that and then topped with these pretty decorative plates that hung on the wall in my past homes.
They never made it to the wall here...not sure why...
Maybe they will yet.
There are four different ones....I didn't take a photo of the fourth.
Etruscan begonia leaf dish. I can't get enough of these.
Love this majolica plate too.
All the colors I like to use in my house.
The large bunny is by United Design. A company that manufactured stone figures
for years here in Oklahoma.
My sister worked for this company and knew I wanted this large bunny.
She grabbed it for me on an employee sale day.
I cherish him because of this.
I think it's going to be a quiet Easter for me this year.
Just Mom and I...I think.
Oh...yes...and the weenies.

I hope you have a lovely one.

Your talent for design really shows here Nita! It's simply beautiful with the garden feeling you created combining the moss twig wreaths softly dyed eggs and the stunning majolica collection! You are way ahead of me, I did get the table cleared off and have purple tulips in a crystal vase sitting in the middle of the table waiting for me to conjure up a bit of Easter magic tomorrow!!! Wish me luck!

For somebody that's been so ill you did such a bang up job of decorating. How you did it who knows but hope you'll be recovering very soon and you can enjoy the day tomorrow Easter Sunday.
Take good care of yourself first of all.

I could spend a full hour with you just standing at the buffet.

Asking questions, picking some of the pieces up.

About your bunnies....

as a mentor said, "You're no bunny till some bunny loves you."

Get well.

Well, girl, at least you got most of your Easter things out even though you were sick...they all look lovely. My Easter things are still in the attic...not much sense in getting them down now...I'll just enjoy looking at all your lovelies! Love your majolica plates!!! Happy Easter to you, your mom, and the weenies.

Feel better sweet Nita!
Your buffet and table look amazing! I did not get my act together this year. We were gone for a week, just got back and the kids are not in town so it has been a very, very low key holiday around here.

Your majolica is perfect.
Happy Easter!
Hope next week you are back to 100%.
