Color, Anyone?
I have a tendency to like neutral colors for walls in my house.
I love painted furniture and color on my furnishings....so keep the walls calm... I think.
But this combo of rooms really makes me happy.
How about that painting? Who needs a big headboard when you have something wonderful
like that overhead?
I adore the darker teal walls that lead into the lighter blue of the next room and all the pops of color.
I have paint to paint my bedroom....but somehow can't stop thinking about painting
my living room and dining room.
I am tired of the ivory lily walls that look REALLY yellow in the
strong western sunlight that comes in the windows in the room.
Truly, thinking about painting all...
Come back on Tuesday for my big reveal of a change that has happened around my house.
Now on to my besties of last week's Mod Mix Monday!
Sherry of Pondered, Primed, Perfect created this wonderful established in 1999 sign from an old window for her front porch.
Inspired by a set of candle holders she'd seen online, Larissa Hill Designs made over some old
candlesticks she already had and turned them into this pretty set very similar to the expensive
one's she'd seen in an online catalog.
Betsy of Betsy Speert's Blog showcased this recent kitchen redo she did
for a client. She tweaked it even more recently by removing the doors
from the cabinets. I've done this in my own kitchen and am a huge fan of it.
It will open your kitchen right up and give you display space.
and finally... Ann of On Sutton Place shared her recent revamp of her traditional dining room chairs.
She mod mixed em up!
I think they look super great! Love that pillow too.
Is 2012 treating you well? So far for me it is.
Can't wait to show you on Tuesday what is up with me.
Link up this week's Mod Mixes below.
Remember anything old made over to be new...anything new changed up to look old.
New and old together...
If you link up..I'd appreciate it if you'd follow me.
Have a great week!

Love that kitchen design by Betsy. I was over at her blog earlier today ... she's very talented. Can't wait to see what you're working on!
i'm the same way with neutrals. but i like that wall!
That wall color is pretty amamzing! I can see why you liked it. The marble alone in that kitchen is to die for. Gorgeous!! Great pick on the candle holder reno, I follow her and they turned out fantastic. Hope you are well Nita. Thanks for hosting.
Gorgeous features!!! Thanks for hosting each week! I love linking up at Mod Mix Monday!!!
XO, Aimee
I love the colors in your colorful photo. It's interesting how some people can take several colors and work them together so beautifully. That is a talent.
Have a lovely day.
Hugs, Cindy

Love the features - the kitchen is great and the etched window sign! Thanks for letting me link up again!

I always enjoy seeing what great pics you have plucked out to show off the Mod Vintage look. I think you should do your bedroom first!! The yellow walls can be changed in good time, but the bedroom is calling your name.
Great features from last week. Thanks for hosting, Nita. I have nothing to share this week as we still have a child not back in school {yet}.
I cannot wait to see what you have planned for your house. :D I know it will be stunning.
xoxoxoox,
Ricki Jill
I can't wait to see your reveal! I wish I knew what the name of that teal color is, it is gorgeous!
Love that teal room. I am currently into RED. Just got some new oriental carpets in red in my kitchen and love the lift it gave me.
Hope to read good things tomorrow.
Thx so very much for featuring my candlesticks. I'm honored...love your reveal. Heather
We seem to be on the same color page this week! Thanks for hosting, Laura
Our master bedroom was that pretty turquoise color in 1995. I'll always remember it because when he was painting, my husband spilled 1/2 gallon of that turquoise on our hardwood floor! I kept that color until I fell in love with the red country life toile. Although now, I think those two could be pretty together. Anxiously awaiting your exciting news here! Don't tease us too much longer!
xo, Andrea
That turquoise room is absolutely stunning! I also tend to paint my walls more soft and neutral. Then I see a room like this and question my whole aesthetic. I was brave in my old house...we had purple then orange then sunset yellow!!! But I tired of each color much quicker than a neutral wall and had to paint the whole room again. Too much painting!
Thanks so much for showcasing our Window Name Sign! My husband is ecstatic that a project that was his idea is being featured. I love to see him excited ;)
Wow! I LOVE that first photo!
In my home you can see straight through 3 rooms, all of which
(of course) are White. The last room I've been planning on painting blue and the middle room grey but.....God, I love that photo! You got me thinking of something more vibrant.
(I can hardly wait for your next post! :D :D :D :D :D )
XOXO - Cindi
I love color too but like you, always come back to neutrals on the walls. Can't wait to see your big secret!
i really love the first picture!!
