the bouqs!

The Sweetest Rose
 I was recently contacted by
the Bouqs.com
asking if I'd take a dozen fresh roses in exchange for blogging about the experience.
Well, yes to that!

I was given a store credit and told to pick my bouquet.
I picked the one called "Killer".
A gorgeous magenta pink long stem rose.

I've added a sponsorship button on my right margin that you can click on and
if you buy...I earn a little money. (that's nice)

So when you order....
You schedule online when you'd like the flowers to deliver.
I believe I did this on a Friday night and told them for next Wednesday.
On Monday, I got an email telling me they were on the way.

Wednesday morning they arrived via Fed Ex.

They were super fresh and came with very long stems.
I cut them to fit my small hobnail vase.

As life goes...I was unable to photograph them on Wednesday and
Thursday too was a loss but today, Friday I snapped some photos.

Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day and these photos are not as clear as I would like.
These hot pink roses would be just the thing to send someone for Valentine's Day.
Actually, they are just the thing to send yourself for Valentine's Day!

I was very pleased with the quality and freshness of the roses....as you can see...
this is day three and they show no signs of fading.

They were just what I needed with my morning tea on my day off.

I highly recommend ordering from theBouqs.com

If you go to their site, let me know what you think of all the choices.
You too can sign up to be an affiliate.

Are you in the mood for Valentine's Day.
I am!

Oh...I forgot to mention...tomorrow...January 31st is my 5 year Anniversary for blogging!
Very hard to believe.

**UPDATE**
Check out my latest post about these roses.
They have lasted over a week and still look wonderful!

Thanks for always being there!

Basket of Flowers

a Tisket
a Tasket
 a Big Flower
Basket

I filled my big kubu wicker basket with odds and end flowers I had in my stash.
I love the way this basket looks by the fireplace.
I don't know why I didn't put it there ages ago.
I had it for like 6 months and couldn't decide what to do with it.

At Christmas on a whim I filled it with little Christmas trees and instantly
knew I'd be filling it every season.

Yesterday I made a trip to Norman to our one and only Homegoods.
I found just the right thing to add some spring and summer freshness to
the living room.

Actually, it was so good...I'm heading there again today to pick up another.

I'll show next week!

Come see me this weekend at

We are running a special...all taxes off on any mattress over $698.

If you don't know about our Bed Match system....you must try it.
It will tell you exactly what sort of mattress is best for your body.

I found one I'm in love with.
It's like sleeping on a cloud.

One day it will be mine....

Now I'm off to Norman again to pick up the second thing I need for the living room.

You'll see...it's just perfect.

Cacti

I'm so in love with this image!
How many times have I walked past little cactus in pots and thought..."those are ugly".
Isn't this the prettiest bowl of spiked stuff you've ever seen?

Just last night I was at Walmart Neighborhood Market and they had these
little cacti in little plastic pots just waiting to be turned into a
fabulous bouquet of pricklies.

But you must have a great bowl to plant them in.

If I find a bowl like that...I will do this.

Happy Saturday!
