Mod Mix Monday #85

Half Painted Walls
I never thought that walls painted half way up would look so good.
High ceilings a must...I would think.
This room is so casual and pretty.

Sorry, Mod Mix Monday is getting such a late start.
I worked 10 hours yesterday.
Working ten hours straight is usually nothing to me.
But I'd only slept a couple of hours Friday night and about four Saturday because
I had to be up super early for the plumber on Saturday.
And up super early to go in to Pier 1 on Sunday.
I have learned too....working 10 hours on my feet is FAR different than working 10 hours on
my butt.

I was worn out when I got home last night.
I tried to do this post...but I kept nodding off.

Good news is....I have a complete new sewer line which will
last me and the next few generations that live in this house.

Yesterday, I was busy unpacking and arranging new Easter stuff that came in at Pier 1.
Oh! The best! The best Easter stuff we've ever had.
I love Easter stuff.
All those pretty pastels.

You MUST go by your local Pier 1 and check it out.
I'll take some photos too to share here.
Our front table is to die for.
The cutest Easter table, ever.
I'm currently trying to figure out how to duplicate myself without buying lots of stuff.

Ok, I've rambled enough...on to my favorites from last week.
Restoration Redoux has a harrowing dog story and turned this dog of a dresser into something fabulous.
Just look at these pretty curtains at City Farmhouse!
I'd put them in my own kitchen in a heartbeat!
Love the pom poms!
Number Fifty-Three styled her dresser in her master bedroom.
It's quirky and elegant at the same time.
I adore that silver dome sitting on the chair at the right.
The Refeathered Roost brought some springtime to her sideboard in the entry.
Oh...I love all these colors.
Martha Leone Design shared this pretty french table redo.
I thought her photos were just scrumptious with the little tomatoes resting on top of the newly
shabbied table.
And finally, I just couldn't resist this over the top Valentine bedroom at
Penny's Vintage Home.
Look at that chenille bedspread!
It's like one big box of Valentine candy.

I'll be back tomorrow with my little winter mantel display.
Then on to Valentine's Day.

Mom goes back to the doctor tomorrow for her first check up since the surgery.
I expect it to go well....although her blood pressure has been higher than it should be.

Share your Mod Mixes for this week below.
Remember anything old made over to be new...anything new changed up to look old.
New and old together...

Hi Nita! I....am.....back! I don't comment much these days, so stinkin' busy, but I always have time to check out what you have posted. I just love your blog. When you write, it is as if we were in your kitchen having coffee (or wine, depending on the time of day!) just chatting.

Love ya!

Ooohhh that aqua dresser! I really hope the girls let me do something like that for their apartment. And that scallopey table 3 links ahead of me, I'm afraid to even go and see what it is, I want it so much. Let us know how your mom is!

Hi Nita, oh my goodness that chenille spread is killing me. Thanks for the invite, I never feel modern so that is why I do not link up. I love Easter stuff too. Hugs, Olive

Nita, that first photo hit me like a jolt! I have had that one "pinned" and I thought of doing my bedroom like that. I don't have tall ceilings at all. In fact it is a dormer room, that's why I liked the idea. Hmmm. what do you think?
Glad to hear your Mom is doing well and also to read about that sewer line, that it's finished and done with. OK, you have officially had all the "not so good stuff" happen, now no more. Only good things from now on are in your future! :)
I'm off to check out these excellent Mod Mix Picks! You know I gotta read the dog story one first!
xoxo - Cindi

Hurrah! Sewer line finished! You can mark that one off the list now. Was your water cut off for a long time? Or the toilets unusable?

I hope you get some sleep this week.

Hi Nita, the plumbing stuff is really essential. Glad that job is done. Thanks for hosting, love joining in. Maybe now you will squeeze in time to catch up on some of that missed sleep.

Nita -- here's hoping the crack down your mom's frontside gets good marks tomorrow and that the crack down the plumbers backside this past weekend remained hidden!

Love the half painted wall. Sorry to hear about new sewer line. We are going to have to get estimates for ours. Was it very costly? Ours is the main line out side?

Very nice party. I didn't link up anything because I had nothing this week that was a mix of modern and old and I like to follow party rules... BUt I'll be back an other week as I'm now a follower.
