White & Black Halloween

Oh...if I had a big white house...I would so do something like this.
This is an old image from Martha Stewart and I still love today as much as
I did the first time I saw it.
So simple and yet so elegant.
Again very simple but effective.
Another...so simple but beautifully spooky.
cute black and white pumpkins off Etsy
Love this display of black wire on a shabby shelf.
Aren't these creative! White pumpkins decoupaged with doilies.
And this wreath is so simple but spookily delightful.
This makes me wish I had a piano to decorate.
The banner is so cute!
And finally, I had big plans to decorate up my sideboard which is much like this.
It would be my first Halloween with it painted white.
But I will just be honest, I just did not have it in me to decorate for Halloween this year.
So unlike me. This is the first year that I have not decorated since college.
I even bought a few things to try to spur me to do it and had plans of doing it last weekend.
But it just didn't happen. I finally decided I just was not going to force myself.
I'd rather skip it this year and maybe next year I'll be all anxious to do it.

I did lots of fun things last year...
Just click on my Projects link at the top of the page to view all my Halloween from last year.

And now an update on my sister, Jamie and Shelly.
Jamie is at home now and she seems to be doing much better. She is not 100%.
But she is better every day and much happier to be back home with her husband and weenie dogs.
She has four.
Shelly is good this week. Her lungs appear to be healing.
I spent the day with her on Tuesday and we had a very nice time.
She is breathing much better. Although she is still on oxygen 24/7.
What we think will be her last chemo treatment will be next week.
She will feel very bad again after that.
Then a catscan will be done to see if the chemo has worked against her cancer.
I should get to spend time again with her next week. I hope so.
I'm thankful for every minute I get to be with her.
I was so scared back in August that I wouldn't have her much longer and now I have hope.

I hope you are all looking forward to a lovely fall weekend.
My Mom is coming up today and I hope to spend some quality time with her before she
rushes off to her next thing. She is one busy lady.

I do hope your sister continues to do well. You know Halloween is fun, but it really doesn't matter in the long run, life and family are way more important.

I'm so glad to hear that your Sis and Shelly are doing better.
Enjoy your time with your Mom. moments like that are priceless.
It's OK to skip Halloween on the decorating front...but I hope you feel like Christmas because no one does it as well as you!
XOXO - Cindi
ps- Now I want a piano, not to play of course, just as part of my decor. :D

Thanks for the update. I will continue to pray for Jamie and Shelly.

I love this white post. I think my favorite is the shabby shelf with the French wire items. So simple, yet it works so well for Halloween decor. *love it*
