June Yard of the Month

I almost let the month get past me without posting Edgemere Park's Yard of the Month.
I'm on the selection committee. I envy this home's shady yard.
And this yard was almost mine.
This was the first house I looked at in the neighborhood when I was house shopping.

I wish I had photos of the inside because it's very pretty.
I do wish I had a huge window like that on my own home.
The reason I didn't buy?
It was a little out of my price range and it had a leaky basement.
The person that bought it fixed that problem right away.
I still think of it sort of as my house....
since it was the one that made me fall in love with the neighborhood.

On today's agenda...going to a tattoo parlor to get Shelly's (see this post) nose pierced.
I've tried to talk her out of it but she says it's something she has always wanted.
When I said now was the time to do all the things she's always wanted to do.
I meant like see Paris....not get a nose piercing.
I told her I would not take responsibility when she later asks me -
"Why? Oh why, did I do that?

Lovely yard. *quick* Book tickets to Paris before the trip to the tattoo parlor!!! Yikes! She definitely does not need an infection on top of everything else. Yeppers, I think tickets to Paris are just the distractions you need!!!

I guess it is better than a tongue or nipple piercing! Yikes, hope you don't get anything Nita! Haha. I can see why you love your neighborhood!

I always wanted to dye my hair blue and at the rate I'm going, it will be more like a blue rinse.

I would get my nose peirced too. No harm done if regret sets in later.

What a great house...I can see the attachment. The iron work, those sweeping garden beds, that cute Tudor porch...like living in a fairy cottage.

Sorry about the nose piercing...I don't know how to help there. :)

What a beautiful yard...if she goes through with the nose piercing...be supportive! I got a tatoo in my 40s and never regretted it a single day (well, except when I was getting it cause it hurt like h***), but I hate to hear people make comments that make fun of tatoos. Soo....she must really want to do it, so I say...go for it!

You are a smart and good friend. I could tell some tales of infection and such from when I worked in a Family Medicine Clinic but I will spare you! The house/yard is adorable. Have a terrific weekend. My blog has vanished from the blog rolls I shall be banging my head on concrete very soon! hugs♥O

You'd have to hog-tie me and knock me out for me to get that done!

I saw a girl at Myrtle Beach, S.C. with so many tattoos on her back and arms, she looks like a reptile. Awful!

I like the landscaping but I'm distracted by the steps and the cracked sidewalk.(Maybe it's because I have a spot where the concrete is cracked by my sidewalk and it bugs me! LOL!)
I actually think your home looks larger in photos... darn! I wish you had some interior shots!
As for the nose piercing, I would never do it but if it's what she wants, then she should do it.
Hmmm I'm wondering if your next post will be of YOUR new tattoo! HA! HA! maybe a little wiener dog?

lovely yard... maybe tell your girl..it's hard to find a job with a nose piercing.. I am a hiring manager..and that is one of the things that we frown on.. BUT...she's probably a young fearless girl...experimenting... I get it! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

I can see why you fell in love with the house and the neighborhood. Is it the neighborhood that your house is in?
The yard is gorgeous.

I love the style of that home and I am a sucker for a street with big trees. I just love them.
