Mod Mix Monday #152

 via
Ok, so there isn't much mod in this room.
There is no mod actually but it's modern in the way that all this vintage is mixed together.
I love vintage frames, don't you?
I bought a wonderful large round vintage frame last week at The Feathered Nest.
I also recently bought a vintage alabaster lamp off Ebay.
I need to make a shade for it and then I'll show.
I also need to show my little Homegoods and pillow project.

And I planted flowers for the deck and it's starting to look very pretty out there.

I'm struggling going to work 40 hours and doing projects at the house and finding time
to take photos and post about them

and obviously I'm struggling to get this party up as it's now Monday night
and I'm just now doing it.

I'm thinking I may stop doing it. It's a small party any way.
I doubt anyone will miss it.

That said...here are my favorites from last week....
Maria Elena of Our Home Away from Home spruced up her front porch for spring.
Deb of Lavender Garden Cottage shared all the little bird baths in her garden.
This one is a new one she placed to the joy of the birds in her yard.
Su of Butterfly and Bungalow did a little makeover on this table and her poodle.
Ooh La La...a french table and a french poodle!
Such a pretty little white dresser from Mimi's Vintage Charm
Look at these two darling french chairs from DD at DD's Cottage.
This too from DD. A precious french chair from Italy painted and reupholstered in a
green damask. I really love how she styled this with the flower market sign.
I snapped this photo on my iphone the other day at the store.
That turquoise cabinet is new, as is the turquoise table.
The table is only $197.99. Oh..that's tempting.
I'm not a fan of the cowhide chair. I'm not a fan of cowhide anything.
And that big huge vase thing in front?
hmmmmm
I sent this photo to a customer thinking she might like the table and she fell in love with that vase.
It looks like a giant pod from space to me.
She didn't buy it but she's seriously thinking about it.
I do like the table though...but I do not need a table.
I repeat I do not need a table.
I do love the cabinet but do not need that either.

It's a good thing I don't need any furniture.
It makes this job much more profitable for me.

Share your Mod Mix's in this week's party below.

Remember anything old made over to be new...anything new changed up to look old.
New and old together...

Turquoise Inspiration

Just Because
Oh...I'd live in this apartment.
Can you imagine living in a vintage turquoise building?
Love this chippy turquoise cart.
I'm designing a new garden gate for my backyard and this one is very inspirational.
Lilacs tucked in a drawer...perfectly romantic.
A collection of turquoise glass in a tray.
What a great way to decorate a table.
Now this is a flower bed!
crusty perfection
An awning never looked so good.
This room amazes me!
The patina in this place could not be faked.
It's rustic glamour.

I never tire of turquoise. These images all collected in my

I think I could paint everything in my house turquoise and be happy.
But what makes turquoise great is having it as the accent against a bunch of plain vanilla.
I think...don't you?

Feathered Nest Market

A Store Full of Fabulous Painted Furniture
Today I ventured out to a new shopping experience
at 63rd and MacArthur Blvd in Oklahoma City

I went because Denise of
announced the other day on her blog that
she has a new booth in this market. So I had to go see.
I took my camera, just in case. So glad I did.
I've never seen so much turquoise furniture.
I've never seen in one store so much furniture I loved.
lots of scrumptious turquoise
Need a fantastic fireplace mantle and some great turquoise lamps?
Love this coat rack.
pretty turquoise and chicken wire terrarium
I love the way this buffet is painted.
great blue gray wardrobe
How about a super huge chalkboard? I bet this was 5 ft across.
Another great buffet
Love this super chippy table
lamps
I wanted this one.
lovely chandelier
gray console
I love this piece so much. Did I mention prices are really good?
I think this was $140 or maybe $160.
What a statement piece this is. I can imagine this being the focal piece of an entire room.
more turquoise
This one I so would have liked to have taken home.
It was not very expensive.
I just don't need and my budget is not allowing for any furniture purchases at the moment.
Oh but I'd love these for my back deck. Complete with vintage cushions.

Really, I have never seen so many things I loved in a store.
If you live near by...you should definitely stop in.
