Mod Mix Monday #151

This is a great example of how combining two totally unrelated pieces
of furniture can create something absolutely wonderful!

Lots of beautiful things in last week's Mod Mix Monday.
Take a look at my favorites....
Mary of Orphans With Make Up created this beauty.
I wish this was in my bedroom. It is dreamy!
Ann of Tarnished Royalty made these sweet little daisies with pearls, buttons and lace.
They are primitive and yet elegantly romantic!
Mary of Boogieboard Cottage took some castoffs and turned them into a beautiful
outdoor dining set. She found those chairs on the curb! Can you believe it?
Tracie of Fishtail Cottage is working on the sitting area off her Master Bedroom.
Well it's gorgeous so far. Look at her book page papered wall!
What really makes it pretty is the addition of a few vintage flower illustrations.
Seems Victoria of Trois Petite Filles is a favorite every week.
That's because she keeps coming up with fabulous things like this mirror.
With the help of embellishments gotten from Masion Decor and made a masterpiece
of an old mirror.
Look at the layers of luscious color peeking through on this piece done up
by Patti of Old Things New!  So very pretty. Wish I had this piece.
Darrielle of DD's Cottage is always showing up here too.
I love the finish on this little dresser. It's Luckett Green from Miss Mustard Seed.
and one more from Darrielle aka DD's Cottage
I cannot resist this cute little bar cart redone in turquoise.

So that's my favorites from last week....

Mod Mix Monday #127

Old New Bathroom
A great mix of old and new with a bold wall and floor.
What a great Mod Mix Vintage Mix!

My faves from last week...
Just look at this amazing bed made by Kim over at Living Vintage
The whole master bedroom is a vintage knock out!
Eileen of The Pink Home made over her fireplace.
She covered the old brick with marble.
Isn't it lovely?
Laura of Cottage and Broome shared the last of October's roses.
They are so pretty arranged in her home vignettes.
Denise of Bella Dreams made herself a new dining room chandelier
out of some baskets and wood.
It fits right in with her romantic farmhouse decor.
Rachel of Maison de Pax is always showing up here.
Just look at her new bathroom and you'll know why.
It's a beauty!
I don't usually pick food here but this salad is just my sort of thing.
Suzanne of Simply Suzannes shares the recipe.
The dressing is simple and sounds scrumptious.

Last week's party was small cause I got it up late...and I got this one
up late too.

Oh..well...there was still lots of good things to look at.

On to this week...

Vintage Bathrooms

Cause I love em so....
If you've been reading this blog for awhile, you know I have a thing for vintage bathrooms and kitchens.
I love a tiled bathroom.
These images are especially nice....
although I believe all are probably new except the last one.
The little shelf rail above the tile is especially nice in that above image.
This one, I like the open shelving and that mirror...and the sink and the faucet.
Nice view into this one.
I really love this one. The red and white toile mixed with the vintage tile is perfection.
But they are not fooling me for a minute that there is room enough for a chair in the room.
I know that chair is just there temporarily and blocking the door.
But it sure looks good.
I love red and turquoise together!
Here is my little and I do mean little master bath.
I'm growing tired of the toile and wanting to paint the walls too.
Although when I painted this, I swore I'd never paint it again.
It was no fun.
I absolutely hate that tiny tile backsplash.
I want the whole room tiled halfway up.
But that would mean redoing the bath/shower too and there is no sense in that.
It's practically like brand new.
So I've been thinking of painting the wall half way up in white.
I could do bead board but in such a tight space, it would be difficult.
I think maybe if I just painted half way up in white I wouldn't mind the backsplash so much.
Or perhaps I should see if I could get it to come off the wall easily?

That is just what I am thinking about today since its way too cold to do anything outside
in the yard which is what I had planned to do.

Don't forget to go to Jo-Ann's and use this coupon!
