Today's Open House is the Tulsa, Oklahoma Cabin vacation home of the late Charles Faudree.
Charles and one of his beloved Spaniels.
This cabin was added on to several times...roof lines raised and walls pushed out.
A charming spot overlooking the water.
I'm in love with the rustic white wash of it all.
The kitchen is a bit cluttered with useless stuff for my taste but it is pretty.
Notice the sweet primitive portrait above the fireplace and the village below.
This is truly cabin living at it's finest.
A lovely spot for a Christmas Eve toddy.
I love the way he used blues throughout this home.
Charles was a true talent in the design world, wasn't he?

I had no idea that he'd passed. I do love his style! What a pretty home, and I do love the touches of blue, too.
Hmmm. A bit over the top for me....LOL He does have a unique style but a bit too overwhelming for me. :) Kit
Stunning Nita, I love it all, my cuppa tea, specially the fire place room and all the blue and white. Now, why didn't I know CF had died?!
Thanks for sharing sweet lady and wishing you a lovely Christmas with your family.

Tis the Sunday before Christmas
Yes he was an amazing talent who influenced so many of us. All of his homes were beautiful.
Not my style at all BUT
I still love it.
Wow that is a gorgeous home! I love his style...I didn't know he had passed away.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas Nita!

What a nice tour, timely for Christmas.!
I found a line in your text that spoke to me: 'The kitchen is cluttered with useless stuff.' -- I needed to hear that. Today.
Very comforting home. His kitchen is perfect for me. I have a large Spode collection in blue also and use it as our daily dishes, so having it all at hand on open shelves is perfect. Very useful kitchen. Having everything hidden from view is useless as a collector. Love his style.
What a gorgeous home!
I think I have every magazine feature ever done on "The Roost" as I think he called it. A reminder to me that there is no such thing as 'too much' where country French is concerned. Thanks for sharing this.
Simply gorgeous! What a stle he had. Thanks for sharing Nita.

I have several books with photos of his homes. I love his style! I love the kitchen with open shelving displaying his pretty blue & white collections. Thanks for the tour, Nita!
I love his style.
I recall this Trad home article. I love his style too, and this "cabin" reminds me a bit of Betsy Speert's style. Ill meet you in the den for that hot toddy. Don't forget to bring the dogs.
I was so excited to see an Open House Sunday! It is so much fun and I look forward to it every week. Lovely home and yes, I also, love all the whitewash! Thanks for the tour.
