Mixing It Up

Welcome to the first Mod Mix Monday.

I went antique browsing last week and found a really great new antique shop near downtown OKC.
I'll show all I found there next week.
But one of my favorite things in their shop was this table with it's modern profile.
Love that chrome pedestal/leg thing!
This table would be fantastic plopped in the middle of my dining room mixed with some traditional chairs.
One of my most admired Mod Mixes ever is this room -

Yes, most of this room is traditional but that modern saarinen tulip table makes the room.
Although the tulip table was invented back in the 60's. It's considered modern in style.

One of my favorite things in my living room is that lamp back there in the corner.

It's an old vintage plant stand that I added a modern paper lantern to, creating a floor lamp.

I had a mod rug in my living room for awhile but decided it made the room too busy.

But hey...I tried it.
