What Dogs Eat

A Friday Spectacular
Today, something very exciting to see.

My dogs pretty much eat a little of everything I do.
Don't freak out...it's stuff like yogurt, carrots, soup, rice etc...

Today I was eating jello and decided to share with Harvey.
Sally was inside but she didn't want any. Which is really surprising because she will usually eat anything.
Violet is the picky one but she was outside with Franklin.

Anyway, here's Harvey eating jello.

Do your dogs eat off spoons?
Mine are really good at it. I can even feed them soup and they slurp it right down
without spilling a drop just like little babies.

Franklin and Violet got baths today
Franklin actually got two baths.
I washed Violet and let her go outside to dry.
Then I washed Franklin and did the same.
Big mistake...he was one big dirt ball in minutes....
so back in the bath he went.
He took it well though.

I'm still working on my potting bench and I put wheels on my new to me kitchen island.

Now I just need some towel bars for the sides.
I see a trip to Home Depot and Lowe's in my near future.

I also restyled my open kitchen cabinets and made a few other small changes in the kitchen.
I'll show very soon.

Have a Happy Friday!

  3. That's so funny. He did a good job not making a mess. All those things that you listed that you feed them are good things. I heard that pumpin from the can is also really good for them. My Springer is eating people food this week and loves it. I probably will have a time getting him back on dry boring food.

  10. hahahahaha! I'm so glad to find your blog! I love the video! My dogs eat off spoons and forks too. I notice you told him "that's enough" and then you gave him another bite while you said "that's the last one". Then he got another bite. That is so me! In fact, I was blog surfing because, although I told Lola I would not stop work and hold her, I had stopped work to hold her! That was an awesome video! Thanks for sharing!

    I think he's looking a bit trimmer?
    Adorable.
No, my dogs don't eat off spoons. I tried it before but they just bite it and want to run away (from the others) with it.
Harvey sure is a sweetie! :D

Do you have a ReStore near you? I've gotten towel bars there for a $1.00 before!
Can't wait to see what you have done! XOXO - Cindi

  13. Wow, he's going to town with that. Funny this is, as I was watching your dog eat, my dog was growling at my feet. I think he must have been jealous! But was he jealous of the dog or the Jello, lol!

  19. Well, my husband and I watched the video of Harvey, and I have to say I never saw a dog eating off a spoon before, but I like it very much! You obviously love your dogs very much, and you are lucky to have such wonderful dogs. We are thinking of getting a dog, but it would have to be a very special dog because we already have 3 cats who have been here for many years. It would have to be a dog who could live with cats, and therefore it would have to be a very special dog because I don't know many who could do that. Take care-- and thank you so much for the weenie update--I always love these!

  20. So funny! yes, my dogs can eat from spoons!!! And one loves to eat watermelon. I've taught him to take little bites as I hold it for him (although he really wants to grab the whole piece rind and all)

I had 4 dogs this past week, (and the 2 kids who are owned by two of the dogs) and they have all gone home now and I can actually think again.

And enjoy some blogs! Oh the luxury!!! Always fun to see your sweet doggies.

    Hello Nita,

Your dogs are adorable. He sure was enjoying his jello. Just don't feed him too many jello shots, unless it's a party! I have three chihuahuas, and they are just like my children. Pets bring so much love and joy to our lives.

  22. So adorable!!! My beagle and shepherd eat from a spoon and they have recently gotten good at pulling a piece of chicken off of the fork. I don't think they would eat jello. hahaha
