Summer is winding down...

Labor Day being the last official holiday of the summer and all.

Valentine Goodies

Yesterday I enjoyed the snow day.

Back to work today.

I set up a pretty Valentine table but then decided it really needed some Valentine food.

So I didn't take photos...and will wait to show tomorrow.

Won't I have fun buying some Valentine goodies to photograph?

I have to say...I had fun pulling out all my rose patterned china that I hadn't 

had out in years. 

But it was a lot of washing....making them sparkle.

Chintz Ware

I'm Chintzy!

I hadn't had this collection out in a very very long time.

It's my collection of English chintz ware.

A small collection. A few dishes, a set of salt and peppers and my favorite of all....

The little ashtray. I don't smoke...(of course) but somehow I just find this little ashtray

irresistible. 

I went to a small flea market a couple of weeks ago and came home with this 

rose china gravy boat.

It has a small chip.

But at only $2 I brought it home with me to join my other mix and match rose china.

Maybe one day I'll get it all out of the cupboards, set the table and show it to you.

I  collect many different types of china as I'm sure many of you do too.

I'm depressed as usual now that the fourth is over.

It's like the summer is down hill after that.

I can't stand feeling this way...
