Bel Monili Jewelry

I recently won a giveaway from Debra at

it was a gift certificate from
I had such a hard time picking out what I wanted.
Lucy of Bel Monili has so many pretty things.

Such as this...
and this
this
this too
She takes vintage jewelry and re-imagines them into something new.
All one of a kind things.
I feel very lucky to have been able to get this necklace.
See why I fell in love with it?
Her photo is better than mine. I had a cloudy day today when shooting.

I wore this necklace mixed with a lavender sweater on Easter.
I felt like I had on my Easter finery for sure.

Be sure to go by
and do a little shopping.

I want some of her bracelets too!

It suddenly got cold here again.
I started my little herb garden a few days ago but I'm awfully glad I waited to buy
and plant other things.
I think it will get down to freezing tonight.

I also woke to a sink hole in my backyard where the new sewer line went in.
It's about 2 feet deep.
All the rain we had the last day made the earth drop.

Of course the weenies had to jump down in it which scared me.
I had to go make sure it was safe.

So I guess I have another project to work on and grass was just growing back.
That is the way things go.

The other night I fell asleep in the back bedroom.

My cable wasn't working in my den and I was too tired to figure out what was wrong.
So I went to the back bedroom to see if it worked back there.

It did.
So I settled in the bed and left the dogs out of the room.
I have a baby gate to keep them out.

I never sleep without them.
So they were upset that I laid down back there without them.

They were whining and whining....but I was too tired to get up.

I woke up a few hours later to the whole room shaking and my immediate
reaction was.

"What are those dogs doing?"

Then I realized they couldn't possibly be making the whole room shake.

But I was sleepy and went right back to sleep.

The next day I found out it was an earthquake.

We had several during the night but I only felt the earlier one.

I felt terrible that I slept all night without the dogs and that an earthquake came
and they were alone.

I promised them, never again.

I can't believe earthquakes are common here now.

It's always something.

Oh...maybe the earthquake had something to do with my sink hole?
