Wow!
Antiques and Salvaged Items Create a One of a Kind Kitchen
I was checking out kitchen renovations for under $5,000 on the Better Homes and Gardens' website
and this kitchen really stood out.
By repurposing furniture and antique and salvaged items, this kitchen remodel was done for
a little more than $3,500.
I love the look of it. So unexpected and so great.

That takes my breath away. So beautiful and unique. I love to see old cupboards used where you don't expect them.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is one heck of a fantastic kitchen.
ReplyDeleteWow just gorgeous!! Love a salvaged piece in the kitchen to add a sense of history, charm and old fashioned elegance, these examples are stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love it too...I really prefer when things don't look too perfect - it makes everything more unique and special!

hi nita,
ReplyDeletethis is one of my all-time fav kitchens. she is a big time designer. but i'm not sure of her name. i'm shocked that it comes in under $4k. it was a new house and she ripped the stock cabinets out and put in antiques and collected pieces. her whole house is amazing.
very beautiful.. I love the first pic

I've always loved this kitchen, but I've never seen so much of it before, it's all beautiful! So much warmth and livability...and smartly done as well, pure charm!

Of course, it's dependent on the pieces you can find, but this is exactly what I'd like to do with my house.
Wow is one way of putting it...love it!

ReplyDeleteI can so see your kitchen developing like this. Yes, you have to find the right pieces. I hope you are keeping your eyes open for great stuff like this for your own kitchen.

ReplyDeleteI wish you remembered whose kitchen this is. I'd love to see her whole house too. The BHG site said that it was a little over $3,500. I wouldn't think that would include appliances. We need more information, don't we?
My favourite type of kitchen!!
ReplyDeleteWow, now that's cheap. Ours came out to about 12,000. 6,000 more than what we intended on spending. And that's with us doing the install!

ReplyDeleteglad you shared this... it's FANTASTIC.

ReplyDeleteI love the island hiding the dishwasher and housing the sink. But what about countertop space. Hard to tell if there is any and that is one thing I really use a lot in my kitchen, and currently don't have enough of.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!! Martina
ReplyDeleteWow is right! I love this kitchen! ~Delores
ReplyDeleteI like it, too, Nita. It is one of a kind and lovely. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Kitchen! I agree with the others that the 3500 dollar price tag is just for the vintage things and does not include appliances and the labor to rework everything.
ReplyDeleteStill a great kitchen at any price!

What a dream it would be, to have an island with a sink AND a dishwasher! I love the look of found pieces and it almost has an industrial look... LOVE it!

I love everything about this kitchen! Not cookie cutter, not 'gourmet', no acres of granite, no psuedo-Tuscan details, no sleek minimalist modernism. Interesting, original, one-of-a-kind, and most glorious of all . . . some UNPAINTED WOOD!! Be still my heart!

Wow is right. I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative, wonderful look for that price tag.
