Mod Mix Monday #136

File This!
I never could have imagined that an old gray file cabinet would make such
a chic bedside table...could you?

It's so pretty!
It's refined but casual.
I just love this look.

Time for another Mod Mix Monday and here are my picks from last week.
Jen of Lace Crazy got really crazy and made a zillion book paper roses into a wreath.
I love the way it looks and she tells you how but warns that it takes a long time and it's rather tedious.
Sounds like a project I'd take on.
Keya of Vintage Prairie Style painted this little scalloped table.
It came out with this super chippy finish.
I have a piece of furniture that I'm getting ready to do and I hope it comes out chippy like this.

Melissa of Shabby Love took us on a tour of her home.
This was the first time I'd seen her bedroom and Wow!!!!
The old mantel as a headboard is wonderful.
How about the dreamy blue color?
I adore everything about this room.
Angela of Number Fifty Three had two great furniture makeovers this week.
I had a hard time choosing which I liked best. I finally went with this one, I think
because I liked the way she styled it so much. Yes, to pops of turquoise when styling!
And finally, Mariaelana of Cottage Living from Beach to Burbs
transformed her dining room with a little paint and fabric.
She just painted her old furniture and recovered the seats and its fabulous!

That was a lot of goodness.
MVL readers never disappoint.
So many good bits of inspiration.

But y'all have quit reading by now and are scrolling down to the entries.
Let me know if you actually read that sentence above in the comments.
I'd love to see how many actually read what I write.
I'm very guilty of skimming myself.

But I digress...on to this week's Mod Mix Monday...

Great party Nita, I want to share too! I have some great vintage finds from the last week or two that I would like to share. My camera is malfunctioning, I have not been able to get the lens to retract for close ups (for anything closer than ten feet away).

But y'all have quit reading by now and are scrolling down to the entries.

I always read the posts. I find it extremely annoying that sometimes people leave very inappropriate comments that scream "I just looked at the pictures" not only on my blog but many others as well.

But since writing is my thing, maybe I am sensitive about it.

LOVE what you chose to feature this week, particularly the little table and the paper wreath. Both are so pretty! Concerning the paper wreath though, I'd probably shellac the heck out of it when I was done so that it could be easily cleaned with a kitchen sprayer. Can you imagine cleaning it otherwise?

Yes, ma'am, I do read every word. Thank you so much for bringing a little Southern hospitality to my home far away from home!

I LOVE that filing cabinet as a nightstand! We are currently looking at filing cabinets to do the same thing. It serves the dual purpose we need in a small space with limited storage space. Thanks for sharing! Following you on facebook!

Wow! So many beautiful photos of the different styles that can be found in vintage pieces of furniture. Its great to see old furniture being put to good use and gives a reminder of what the past was like. We have some cool pieces of furniture as well. Check it out! http://theatticresaleshoppe.com/
