Twice I've had someone leave a comment saying my blog is causing unwanted windows
and websites to pop up for them leading them to have to shut down their computer.
Is anyone having a difficulty when viewing my blog?
I have not noticed anything wrong when I view.
Please let me know.

ReplyDeleteI haven't had anything happen from viewing your blog, that I know of.... but in order to enjoy it I have to turn my sound volume off when I visit because of that ad that has talking and music.

I think the problem is probably that video (right below your profile picture and above the pictures of the weenies). It appears to be set on auto-play and it makes the page take longer to load than it would otherwise. It's usually just mildly annoying but it sometimes makes everything just freeze up for me.

ReplyDeleteMy guess is they may have a Trojan or malware on their computer that triggers ads to pop up...if they go to "manage add-ons" they may find some kind of program there that will put numerous ads on any site that allows ads. On the ad itself there may be a name of the program that placed the ad there down in the corner or beside a little "X" at the top.

Just as Grace said I see a constant pop up video. It is annoying so I also turn the sound off. How do we get rid of it?
ReplyDeleteI don't believe I've had any problems, Nita. I have noticed that my McAfee has been blocking certain ads on certain sites that it sees as a threat. Don't know if it's done that to you, but it doesn't cause any problems with viewing the blogs.

ReplyDeleteLove all the pretty flowers. I could grow them in Oklahoma butin Texas I haad no luck at all. Now that I am in Wisconsin I have flowers everywhere...it's driving the hubs nuts!! haha.
I am not having any problems with the blog. I keep the sound turned off on my computer unless there is something specific I want to hear, so I didn't realize that there is any. Recently I was having a problem with something on that order popping up on my homepage which was CNN and then I changed to another news source. Same thing So I changed again. So far no problems. It probably is related to an ad would be my guess. Some blogs are so loaded with ads that it takes forever for them to open, so if I am having that problem, I just move on. Very recently I ordered a product online, and suddenly, I am seeing an ad for that product on just about every site I visit. Big Brother is definitely watching!

(I thought I was the only one that was bugged by it) but I would just click on it to stop it.
Wonder what Reader they were using.
