True Love
I'm having a wonderful Valentine's Day.
I'm spending it with my four most loved ones....
Violet, Harvey, Sally and Franklin
My Valentine Decor in the Dining Room.
It's been a busy last few weeks and today I finally got to
make a little Valentine craft.
I made this Valentine banner this morning.
nothing like doing things the last minute....but have to say I enjoyed putting it together.
I pulled out all my rose patterned china the other day.
I've collected this over the years paying only a little for each piece.
I do have quite a few plates, saucers and cups of the same Limoge pattern
because I bought a box full of it for $15 once.
That was a lucky day.
I knew that I wanted some cupcakes and cookies in these shots
so last night after work, I went by Walmart to pick up a few things.
Oh My!!!!
It was a madhouse!
Crazy busy...and there were no valentine goodies to be found.
None! There were flowers but no Valentine cookies or cupcakes.
They'd all been bought!
I decided to try a smaller grocery store later in the evening and found
not only cupcakes and cookies but some pretty pink tulips too!
The pink tulips are my Valentine present to me.
The Valentine bike I bought on clearance last year at Pier 1.
We had only one and no one wanted it.
I think it's precious.
close up of my banner
ignore the little bits of glue strings
things always show up when you see the photos later...don't they?
A bowl of glittered puffy hearts from Dollar Tree is included here.
I've been collecting pink doilies for awhile to make a table runner for V-day.
Aren't they sweet?
Lot's of variety. And they all look nice together like a box of chocolates.
I hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's Day.
The weenies have already had some cookies and some special food.
Tonight we are all going to snuggle together and watch
Gone with the Wind on TCM.
I haven't seen it in a long time and I'm looking forward to it.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY !!!!!!

Beautiful Nita......thanks for sharing your lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteYour Valentines decorating looks amazing! Like a feature in a magazine! Happy Valentines Day!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can see your pretty dining room from the t.v. set while Gone With the Wind is on so you can advice it. It is so pretty! Your rose sprigged china was worth getting it all out and washed up. It would be so pretty for girly birthday parties too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you and the sweet weenies!
SO PRETTY!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you got all that accomplished so fast. You are definitely making it a special day.
I love "Gone with the Wind"! When I was a teenager I think I read it like 5 times and I've seen the movie more than I can count. I was madly in love with Clark Gable.
Yes, that does sound like a nice Valentines evening! Clark + the pups + cupcakes = perfection.
:)

ReplyDeleteEverything is planned and themed with love and Valentine.Mostly red and white color is used as red is symbol of love.Rose is also used beautifully and the whole concept is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your home again Nita! The dining room furniture almost has a pink glow from all the pink things you added to it~it looks so pretty and the epitome of what a Valentines tea party should be! I had one large white and pink doily but not sure what I did with it, if I find it I will send it to you! ANd lastly I thought the little banner was just adorable! You are so clever and know how to make things look fun and pretty. The only think missing from your party was a hummingbird!
