Boiling Point
Ok, everyone knows it's hot everywhere.
It was 112 here yesterday (at least) and will probably be the same tomorrow and the next day
and the next and....on and on and on....
I came home last night and found my four year old central air unit not working.
Dogs and I made it through the night but I'm hoping that it's just a fuse gone bad
or something.
Mom is on her way up. I had to call into work.
Heat and Air guy might come end of day. Might.
Dogs keep looking at me like "What is wrong with you? Turn on the air!"
Anyway....all I planned to do this week is on hold.
Too hot in here to do a thing.
But that is life.
Last winter I said I kind of liked this Global Warming thing.
I take that back.
oh i feel for you nita. i lost power for a day during a horrible heat wave and it was awful. not being able to get that hot air to move outside was awful. love that the doggies are communicating with you though!
ReplyDeleteI hope your A/C is an easy fix and one that is not expensive. That heat is just unbearable. I hope those temps go down soon for you as well.
ReplyDeleteHope it's an easy fix and that you and the weenies are keeping cool!
ReplyDeleteNoooooo! Not the air conditioner! I think we are on our 15th or 16th day of over 105 degree weather. It was 113 here in OKC according to weather guy. Gina said her car temp said 119. Uggg. My little a/c isn't doing great but I have some relief. Hope you get it fixed today!

Oh girl I feel for you and the pups. Ours went out during the last 100 plus heat wave back in July. Took us a week to put a patch on it...I pray yours is a fuse! My fur babies were the same looking at me like what IS THIS??
ReplyDeleteTry to stay cool and keep us updated!
You poor thing! I feel for you. There is nothing you can do in that heat! I paint in my garage where it's like 89 almost every day (and thats when it's nice outside) I can't even imaging 115. Shoot me.
ReplyDeleteDarn it- I knew SOMEONE was saying they liked that global warning- Now look what you've done!;>) It is so hot here, Nita...but not as hot as it is there.
ReplyDeleteI hope your AC is an easy fix. I think they just hit overload because they are running non-stop. No problems here so far, thank goodness. Blessings- xo Diana
Wow, I can feel for you. Our central air went out about the second week of 90 degree weather here. We couldn't get anyone to check it out over the weekend, but thank goodness it rained and got cool. Then it got hot again, but it took them only three days to get back and put a brand new system in for us. But we had a few hot days without it. It is probably even hotter where you are. I hope you get some relief soon.
ReplyDeleteHugs, cindy
I've been crossing my fingers that the power doesn't go out. The last few years, when everyone has been cranking up their air, it's blown the power around here. I have window units so if one goes, I can stick another one in but if the power is gone...
ReplyDeleteI really feel for you! and your pups. Ruby can't take the heat any longer because of her heart and if the air is gone, I would have to run her over the the clinic to stay until it comes back.
Hope you and yours are chillin' now! and hope it wasn't too expensive! Darn it.
