This is where I wish I was today.
Sleeping on a big bed outside.
How about this one?
Ok...maybe a little unrealistic.
But this one is totally doable on a covered patio.
And this one for sure could be accomplished for an afternoon.
Just big cushions laid out and fabric overhead.
This anyone could put together for an afternoon relaxing outside.
I will not be relaxing outside today, however.
Shannon made it through her surgery just fine and I'll be sitting with her
at the hospital this afternoon.
I plan on reading a book...something I haven't done in a very long time.
Dear Nita,
ReplyDeleteLovely images but so sorry you will have to be indoors.
If I remember correctly, Shannon is your good friend, right?
I will keep you both in my prayers. I know she is probably very grateful to have you there by her side today.

Those chairs are so uncomfortable. So nice of you to sit with her. I hope she is going to be okay. I posted pictures of a neighbor's yard awhile back. She had a outdoor bed. I didn't take pictures of it because someone had slept in it the night before. It would be so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI love these...but if I tried that today, the mattress would float away! We are getting slammed with rain, and the art show was a rain-out BOO!!! *sadface*
ReplyDeleteBut I would so try this one day....I want an outdoor bathtub, too :D

BTW I will say a little prayer for Shannon while I sit inside, too...
ReplyDeleteLovely places to nap and dream.
ReplyDeletePlease let your friend know I am thinking of her and will be remembering her in my prayers tonight.

Years ago, a landscape designer (whose name escapes me now) referred to a wonderful outdoor place to rest as a "nap-atorium." These are perfect nap-atoriums!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear she survived the surgery. It will be a tough road ahead and she is lucky to have you for a friend, but you need to take care of yourself too Nita. Remember that. Love the beds outdoors~its so romantic. thanks for the well wishes tomorrow for my workshop, I am excited about it. I think Betsy will be blogging it too..
ReplyDeleteNita,
ReplyDeleteGlad to read Shannon is doing good.
What a good friend you are.
Not too sure about an outdoor bed...would be scared of black widow spiders getting in between the sheets.
May Shannon rest peacefully. Knowing she has a friend such as you can only help.
ReplyDeletePure heaven!!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love all of them!
How fabulous it would be to 'really' do this!!
Smiles~

Yes it would be lovely to be lazing outside on one of those lovely beds, but alas it is too cold here at the moment. So pleased your friend is ok. xx
ReplyDeletePositive and Healing thoughts are going out to your friend Shannon.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad she has you in her life. Friends are priceless at times like this.
I will someday drag my daybed outside...but I will cover it in Sunbrella fabric instead of beautiful linens since I already know that it will be my dogs that end up enjoying it!
xoxo- Cindi
Oh how fun to drift off to sleep outdoors among the flowers. Sleep perchance to dream...
ReplyDeleteLovely eye candy! Beds are adorable!
