See just an old table makes a great potting bench.
But here is one made out of pallet wood.
I guess I could roam the neighborhood as suggested on big trash day.
I had a very good day at Pier 1 today.
Helped several people and made some new friends.
One lady thanked me for being so nice to her.
I said "It's easy to be nice to nice people."
I truly enjoy all the customers there.
One lady told me the funniest story that I'll share here soon.
I love hearing all my customers' stories.
Thanks so much to all of you for your words of encouragement.
I need it so, right now.
All of the potting benches are great inspirations but when I saw the 3rd to the last one (the metal one) I suddenly wanted THAT one and none other.
ReplyDeleteThanks A LOT! :D
I'm so glad that you are liking Pier 1 and the customers. Having a Good Day makes the crappy ones a little bit more bearable.
Here's to MORE VERY GOOD DAYS!!!

After reading your last post, I moved an old cracked and painted drop leaf table out of my garage to use as a potting table. I plan to paint it a sage green and put an old wood trellis behind it and add hooks. I am so excited. When I searched for pottery benches last month on the internet, they were so expensive--more than I have paid for inside furniture. I am feeling like spring is here!
ReplyDeleteI really want a potting bench after seeing all of these ones!! Thanks for all the ideas!
ReplyDeleteI love the metal covered tables..DAve told me he had saved a potting bench for me from a job that the people were gonna throw out! He said it was very me...I was quite excited about..but when I saw it I decided to use it in our cellar as a workbench, cuz thats what it was...and we needed to organized our tools. But a workbench makes a great potting table too...it is a big heavy wood plank table with a lower shelf and a small back splash all made out of the wood...it woulda been a nice potting bench. I love the door used as a potting bench backdrop behind the 3 tiered table/shelf. Thats a cute idea too....all these give me ideas for my store as I plan on having a garden area...
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful ideas, I shall be looking at my 'might be useful' pieces with new eyes!
ReplyDeleteThank you
Sarah
I am so happy you are enjoying Pier1. I love their designs lately. I bought the cutest place mats I used on our breakfast table at Easter!
ReplyDeleteI need to sneak in and take a photo of the anthropologie potting bench....I want it...WAHHHHH!!!!
I love the benches in this post, too!
