and Missing
I'm wishing I had a space like this outside.
I need outdoor furniture and I need it cheap.
I've been watching Craigslist and the other night
found a complete iron set - sofa, chairs and table for $50!
All it needed were some great cushions.
I was so excited...alas it was sold when I contacted them.
I'll keep trying.
But isn't that space ultra beautiful above?
I'm currently working on a little update to the kitchen.
You know me...if it involves an update it involves something inexpensive
and done in a way not usually done.
I think it's going to turn out nice and I'll share as soon as I finish.
My kitchen has transformed in small baby steps.
Maybe someday it will be all I want it to be.
Keep trying Craigslist and yard sales...you never know. If you lived near me, I'd give you my wicker set (after our graduation party this summer). I bought it at a yard sale for $75..loveseat, two chairs and a table...just needed paint!
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Nita. You'll find something...it just takes patience. (Not one of my strengths!) Looking forward to seeing what you're up to in the kitchen! ;)
ReplyDeleteKeep looking. We got our 1950's wrought iron set for $40.00 at a yard sale and love it. It is black but chippy and the original pink is peeping out.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait to see what you're doing in your kitchen. I'm sure it will be fabulous! Jana in Texas
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that lovely pool is available on Craigslist! This patio looks like MY dream too!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and love it.
ReplyDeleteWill come back.
Lovely hugs

Beautiful! I love that space in the photo. I long for a pool. It's on my wishlist for my next house. But not many houses in my price range have them. Like you, I'm going to look and then look some more!
ReplyDeletep.s. I forgot to tell you that hubs best friend got his residency in OKC. Maybe we'll get to visit one day!
Stinks that you missed out, but that means the right one is next to pop up!! That happened to me with the farmhouse drainboard sink...SOLD...but two days later another one, and cheaper came along. Fingers crossed in Boston!
ReplyDeleteWe are making plans for a porch and this would look perfect on it!

Perfect! The hunt is hard, but rewarding. I just bought a 50's era table and chairs for my patio. I'm in the process of painting it now. It was only $60 and so much prettier than something new. I still have to make the seat cushions. I can't wait until I have it finished.
ReplyDeleteyes we are currently redoing our backyard and I would love to find a reasonably priced outdoor set.
ReplyDeleteWe have a limited time we can sit outdoors because of the heat...but it would be nice to have a dressed yard to look out at in our air conditioning LOL

I am so lucky! My dad was down at the beach one day, in a tres' ritzy area and someone threw out a whole vintage iron set. It needed fresh paint. That was it! He has a big F-450 and threw it in back for me =) LOVE that man! He is such a good dad. You'll get lucky too. Maybe for free ;)
