Pretty Tudor
built 1928
This home is in my neighborhood. It's just a few streets away from me.
I wish one of you would come buy it.
This house was painted long ago. The painted brick is very nice.
I like the paint color but I wonder what color the original brick is?
Recently a few homes that were painted brick have had their brick stripped and gone back to the
original color. You can't sandblast the paint off because it damages the brick.
Instead chemical strippers are used to remove the paint. That is a lot of stripper.
Breakfast nook
The current owner gutted the kitchen and created a very beautiful space.
I never saw this house before this kitchen was done so I have no idea what condition
the kitchen was in before.
I like the industrial metal shelf used beside the stove and the exposed brick wall.
I love that refrigerator! I so wanted a glass front refrigerator when I was shopping for a frig.
The way the frig is installed into the wall is unusual. There must be a closet behind it that it juts into.
It sure saves valuable floor space in the kitchen.
Isn't this little powder room, precious?
A nice shady spot.
See the listing here.
I think that would be a fun house to decorate. It has great potential for a makeover, my style!! hee hee...hope someone nice buys it!
ReplyDeleteI like the decor of the living-room but I would have to repaint over all the other peachy colors (I HATE peach) but the actual house is very nice and this house looks like it's been a "Home" full of love - Good Jibes. I LOVE the kitchen but still would paint but that is an easy fix. The backyard has a fence and that's all we really need, so I'll start packing up my "gang" and we will be right down! :D
ReplyDelete(How was the party?)

I love your Sunday home features...your neighborhood has some truly fabulous houses!
ReplyDeleteNita-I love that house! It has so much character, doesn't it? I used to live in a period house and I still miss it....Would you come for coffee if I moved in?;>) xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThat is a great kitchen! I really enjoy seeing ones that aren't just cookie-cutter builder kitchens.
ReplyDeleteI really like brick on these old tudors, they always look so nice no matter how many years have passed.

I really like this one. I think that kitchen is amazing. I'd move in.
ReplyDeleteI think that one is really pretty. Love the painted brick too. They did a great job on the kitchen and using the space in the rest of the house.
ReplyDeleteI saw this house, listed on the Internet last week, and I thought to myself, I wonder if Nita will post this? Sure enough! I love, love, love that kitchen. And I am usually not one for so many bright colors, but I love the living room, and the entire house, as well. I wish I could buy it.
ReplyDeleteIf we all pooled our pennies, maybe we could do a Group Buy and timeshare the house amongst us! Nita could come over every week when we change residents.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable Tudor! I wish we could buy it, Nita! ;P
ReplyDeleteThese are such fun posts! That Tudor is utterly charming!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty house! Of course, I would do a little change in decorating but a great place none the less! Hope it sells to the right person!~Hugs, Patti
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful house...love all the windows, curved doorways and great details.

Can I get them to leave the furnishings? I could move right in! (Although it does appear staged.) -- HollyM
ReplyDeleteLove it! If OK end up being in the top 10 on our list, I will go look at that house. What are the schools like in that area?
ReplyDeleteHi Nita,
ReplyDeleteI showed one of your photos and linked it to your blog today. Blogger was giving my terrible problems, so I didn't add anything about who you were and what a wonderful lady you are. I just quickly linked it.
You are a wonderful lady and I enjoy visiting your blog and your sweet comments on mine.
Thanks, Cindy
Oh, I'd love to come buy that house! I've been having the urge to relocate again...
