We All Love Turquoise
That was apparent after I browsed through all of last week's links in Mod Mix Monday.
Lots of turquoise painted furniture which I love.
I had saved the above photo awhile ago in my
boards. These too...
I wonder how many pieces of turquoise furniture are too many pieces of turquoise furniture
in your home? I have two but I want more.
My own home includes this pale turquoise painted cabinet.
Someone removed the paint long ago from the top and drawers.
I like it just like that.
I also have this little table with its original pale turquoise paint.
Now, here's just some of the pretty painted turquoise furniture from last week's
Mod Mix Monday.
Denise at Bella Dreams showed off her master bedroom which included this cabinet.
She painted her bed this same pretty color.
Sonya at Beyond the Screen Door shared the turquoise kitchen island and door of a friend.
Sonya's own front door is turquoise too.
Spectacular, isn't it?
Amy of The Salvage Collection turned a Craigslist find into this beauty and named her "Tess".
European Paint Finishes had another gorgeous piece this week.
Love that scalloped edge.
Korrie at Red Hen Home turned an ugly old chest into something pretty with a little chalk paint.
Had to include this table also from European Paint Finishes.
Now just a couple of things that aren't painted turquoise...
Larissa Hill Designs mixed up her own homemade chalk paint!
She painted this table with it and was very happy with the results.
Follow her recipe and you can have your own chalk paint without the high cost of
buying it.
And finally...many of you may have already seen the kitchen of
I had seen it quite awhile ago and fell in love with that mirror over the stove.
But last week she shared where she got everything in this kitchen and how much it cost.
Can you believe all shown above cost her only $64!
That includes, the stove, the mirror, the china cabinet, the island with marble!
Amazing...she goes on to share how she frugally decorated her living room and bedroom too.
Just goes to show that you can have a very nice space for not much money.
Truly.
Wow! Last week was so jam pack full...I'm wondering what next week will bring.
Let's see what you've got...
Link up below.
I want to see anything new mixed with something old.
Antique and Modern side by side.
Something old made to be new or something new made to look old.
Vintage and Modern going hand and hand.
Please link to your project post not to your entire blog.
Your pins are wonderful! I am going to have to go and do some serious re-pinning!
ReplyDeleteThanks for having me and best wishes for a wonderful week,
Natasha.

Of course it was THE color when my parents remodeled and reFurnished our home in the 1950's. My favorite piece was the turquoise sectional with the curved center section. Now quite the thing again.
ReplyDeleteOh Nita,
ReplyDeleteThey're all so beautiful...But even though I think I prefer the softer turqouise, that front door is absolutely gorgeous. Love it. Have a wonderful day.
Hugs and Kisses,

Nita; Thank you for featuring my Chalk Paint recipe experiment. I am so inspired by the other items you have featured and plan on trying to duplicate any and all of the European Finishes and take a peak at Beyond the Screen Door for her turquoise technique. I really enjoy your blog.
