My Front Porch
Donna at Funky Junk Interiors asked us all to show our Summer Patio Decor this weekend.
Well, I'm late to the party because I had a lot going on...but wanted to show you my new outdoor rug.
I got this rug off Joss and Main. If you frequent Joss and Main... you know that
you never know what is going to show up there.
I saw this rug and I still had a credit from a gift certificate I'd won from La Dolfina awhile back.
I hit purchase without really thinking where this rug was going to work for me.
I actually thought I'd put it on the back deck and then yesterday it occurred to me that the
color combo was perfect for my front porch.
So here it is....
I'm loving what its added to this space.
It adds just the bit of modern the grouping needed.
And it goes perfectly with my existing pillows and the paint on my windows.
I found this wreath last night at Target of all places.
They don't have much of this sort of thing but what they do have is usually good.
I added the birds nest and butterfly to it.
Front door guarded by a cement pooch.
One of my three large urns on the front porch's brick pedestals.
Another urn.
Oh..I love this rug. I can't believe I didn't realize I needed a rug out here earlier.
So that's my Mod Mix for today and my outdoor space to link up at Donna's.
And now....my favorites from last week's Mod Mix Monday.
There were so many great ones...it was really hard for me to choose.
If this is an example of where this party is heading...yippee!
I am loving all your incredible mixes.
If this is an example of where this party is heading...yippee!
I am loving all your incredible mixes.
1. Roeshel's fabulous kitchen makeover at
Roeshel has been working on this kitchen for awhile and I've loved every minute of it.
Seems all her choices are what I'd want for my own kitchen.
This week her husband added a very cool knife utensil holder to the backsplash.
Done without harming the tile. I love this.
I had just taken down my own magnetic knife strip in my kitchen but it didn't look anything like this.
And this has me thinking about getting one of these to add.
2. Then another gorgeous kitchen appeared from
This has all the stuff I would want too.
That granite is beyond gorgeous.
I bet that backsplash cost more than my $15 makeover that I gave mine.
Which..I promise I will show this week.
3. Emily's blog
showcases her house which is all a fantastic Mod Mix.
I fell in love with every room she showed and had to immediately follow.
4. Jaclyn's new stone wall at
This new wall ads such a fantastic texture to her dining room wall. Love those bar stools too!
5. Then Flea Market Trixie linked up her latest and greatest.
This desk with which she painted in her signature turquoise color and added antique maps to the drawer fronts.
So inspiring! I never would have thought I'd like this so much. But I do love turquoise. I think this turned out beyond fabulous!
6. Then who would think...someone else would link up a similar project.
Shabby Marilyn at Shabby Redo for You created this desk a few months ago.
I really love decoupage maps on furniture. This desk is greatly enhanced by the maps and the paint treatment.
So this was a great week for Mod Mixes. I can't wait to see what you come up with this week!
Link up below!
Anything new mixed with old...anything old painted new....etc...
Please link your post back to my site so that other's who visit your blog can come visit this party.
