This past weekend, I painted a room in Sherwin Williams "Rainwashed".
It wasn't one of my rooms.
It was my cousin's master bedroom.
She ordered new furniture for the room a couple of weeks ago and
had planned to repaint the room before it was delivered.
But a supply cabinet fell on her at her office, banging her up, breaking a rib and puncturing a lung.
Which led to a collapsed lung and a four day hospital stay with a three week recovery time.
No painting in her near future.
Take this as a warning...its so important to make sure tall furniture is attached to the wall.
Since she has been out of commission...
they've been busy attaching all furniture to the walls in her office building.
So this past weekend I went over and painted her master bedroom.
None of these photos are of her home but I will show her room after the furniture comes in.
This color looks more green in the can and on the swatch but looks more blue on the wall.
SW Rainwashed is a lovely color and has me thinking I should paint one of my bedrooms in this shade.
Ok, I've known I wanted this color for awhile...so really painting her room was really a test run.
Yes, perfect for a bedroom.
or a living room
These last four photos I really don't know what color they are painted officially,
but they look like SW Rainwashed.
I'm just loving this color on walls.
It's so fresh and yet soothing.
My Shabby Apple Giveaway is still going on...
You get to choose which dress.....
I'll choose a winner on April 15.

Oooo I really love the feel this color gives to a room. I painted my master bedroom a similar color, it is by Behr and I can't find the name right now. But it is beautiful and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your blog by the way and am *drooling* over that pink ceiling....(:
One of my favorite colors! I had it for my master bathroom ceiling color two houses ago. You are sweet to help out your cuz. I hope she gets healthy soon - what a nightmare!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty color! All of the rooms above are beautiful. The first one is actually my favorite because of the contrast of the dark wood flooring. I'm working on a buffet right now that's done in a similar shade to SW Rainwater.

Aren't you the sweetest cousin ever. Love that color. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteHi Nita,
ReplyDeleteI love that colour! I had a shade very similar to that throughout my kitchen, dining, and living rooms. Then I changed it and I'm thinking very seriously of painting the living room that shade again. I love it and I never tire of it. It is so serene and pretty too! The rooms look fabulous!
Blessings,
Sandi

Such a fresh and calming color. Makes me rethink my really deep blue choice for my bedroom.
ReplyDeleteAy yi yi.....what a horrible thing to happen to your sweet cousin. Glad she'll be o.k. but so sorry she's out of commission for a while. However, how SWEET of you for going over and painting for her. Now THAT is a labor of love. Can't wait to see the real pictures; but for the time being the one's you found are lovely!

ReplyDeleteYou are a doll to help your friend out. I love this color SW Rainwashed, it is one of the prettiest colors I can ever remember seeing. I want to paint my bathroom that color, now how do I convince my husband that after 2 and a half years, it is high time to paint again!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your email today.
Hugs, Cindy
I am so osrry to hear about your cousin's accident but glad she is healing. That's so sweet of you to help out and paint her bedroom. That is a gorgeous color. I have used it on a dresser and just love it.
ReplyDeleteWhen something awful like that happens there is nothing like coming home and having help with a big project to make you feel not quite so depressed about being incapacitated. What a lovely colour. Thanks for the inspiration. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful color, i painted my foyer a similar color called "Misty Surf", valspar? Olympic? LOL, its one or the other, bought from Lowe"s......Its amazing how this color works with so many design styles, ide still like to use it in a bedroom, but i refuse to paint over my neutral stripes in the bedroom, we only did it about a yr or so ago, and i still love it, the neutral allows me change things up when i want. I cant waite to see the room when u finish. Now that i know where u are, i will visit often...ur new bloggie friend, Bonnie
ReplyDeleteIt is just a lovely refreshing color.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite colors too. Also for the giveaway I love the spanish steps dress. I "liked" Shabby Apple on Facebook too.
ReplyDeleteNita, I know this is an old post but how AWESOME AND SWEET of you to paint for your cousin! What a horrible mishap! I LOVE the color, I bet it looked FABULOUS when you were done!
