A California Spanish Style Historic Home
(built 1928)
This home is in the Hollywood Hills. You know...where I pretend I live?
Oh...how I wish bougainvillea would grow here year round.
I've bought it a couple of times only to watch it die in the fall.
But look how wonderful it is all over this house.
A bit of a climb

In case you forgot how far the climb.

I like how simple this kitchen is.
I adore all the vintage light fixtures in this home.
That's the money shot.
What a view!
Bouganvillea have to come in for the winter if you live in an area with frost. We have had for years but live in SoCal so it survives winter here fine. This house is stunning. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteBougainvilleas are common here in my country. It easily grows here.
ReplyDeleteI also love the house. I love the way the colors were played, with the right mix of wood and vintage pieces.. and of course the spectacular view.

ReplyDeleteI love the blue sofas, rose drapes, and white walls with the dark beams in the living room. The kitchen is pretty but I would need a surface by my cooktop.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived in San Diego the Bouganvillea was so fab,,,the terrace image with it flowing along the railing was what I recall!! LOve, wish it grew here in KC
ReplyDeleteThanks Nita, brought back memories!

Bougainvilleas are so beautiful! We just added some to our garden yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThis house has so much charm & historical beauty. You don't see these kind of features and accents these days, but looking at these pictures is like stepping into the past. I love it!
it's pretty....
ReplyDeletefor someone else. It's TOTALLY not me though.
I couldn't take all the steps and the beams across the ceilings are bad fung shui...if ya believe in that.
I do like that brick patio area, it would make poop scooping easy! LOL! Ya know me, it's always about the dogs!
