Magical Outdoor Spaces
I'm still painting....and getting anxious to finish up and work outside.
The weather is going to be gorgeous here the rest of the week.
So as I paint....I'll be thinking about outdoor spaces.
and planning what to do to create some outdoor rooms of my own.
All of these photos are very inspiring.
Tonight I went to ROSS and saw two big outdoor chairs.
I would have loved to have had them for my deck.
You never know what you'll find at ROSS.
But I must focus and finish the dining room project at hand.
I hope to finish the buffet today and move on to the table.
I'm beginning to see the end.
I'll try to show a preview tomorrow.
OH my! If I had a patio like picture #1, I would never leave it!!! Such lovely inspiration! I can't wait to see your dining room, Nita. I know it is going to be too, too pretty!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous..you totally had me at that first picture..DREAMY!! So picture perfect, and lush, give me a cup of coffee, a laptop and a good book...and I could live there for days on end:) Fabulous....
ReplyDeleteyes it is good to dream about fun stuff while doing a long boring project. I am excited to hear that the end is in sight. I too am painting, and just did my bathroom cabinets! I ended up doing a french cottage look with blue and cream and am loving the progress.
ReplyDeleteOur outdoor spaces are sorely lacking in the furniture department. I'm afraid what I want and what I can have are a bit too far apart at the moment :)
ReplyDeleteThose spaces are AMAZING. I'm originally from Seattle and they're all a little Seattle-esque.
ReplyDeleteAnd I absolutely love stores like Ross. I'm in Ontario now and we have Homesense, which is like Ross or TJ Maxx, but it's only stuff for your home. It's pretty awesome.
Can't wait to see what you've come up with!
i wish there was a ross near me, although it's probably better there isn't one. these pics are all gorgeous! i so want a pergola with those big bulb lights-dream backyard, for sure!
ReplyDeleteYes, these are pure magic!
ReplyDeleteI spend so much time on our patio so I love planting lots of flowers to enjoy but oh that first patio with the fire place--wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. I'm craving the nice weather, and these only make me want it more. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the apartment-building courtyard. It looks like a private little treasure in an urban space. It makes me want to move to the city!
Beautiful inspiration.

Nita, I was in Ross (for the first time) on Saturday and saw some fabulous chairs too. The price was great but I just could not commit to them and I was in my tiny car. I am so ready to stay outside. Now I am fighting rye grass someone planted at our house years ago.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteI stopped at the library on my way home tonight and checked out several books on "gardens", "garden rooms" and "planning the small garden"...I should have just come to your blog!

Gorgeous! I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can get my outdoor spaces all pretty for enjoying warm days. Great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI just love coming over here to see your doxies. There are still days every week where I'm heartbroken and crying. I miss Niski so much. Seeing your little ones fill my heart with joy and good memories.
