Cloudy, rainy day here. I needed a little color pick me up.
I was going to show a few things around my house but its been cloudy since Saturday
and I haven't been able to take any good photos.
So these will have to do.
I'm out shopping for fabric today for my dining room chairs.
I have no idea what I'm going to go with.
I'm hoping something just hits me when I see it.
Hello again Nita! I believe the couch contributes a lot in developing the look of every living room. Among those you have presented I love the yellow one and with the shades of green. It fits well a house that is usually painted in white and cream. Thanks for sharing this. :) It maybe cloudy and gloomy out there in your place. Nevertheless, I hope you are enjoying the cold temperature in your home!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures prove that a sofa can be THE statement piece in a room if you want it to be. I think it can be fun to put a funky color or fabric on a sofa..for the wow factor, but I personally prefer to change the look out by adding and taking away fun pillows...a much cheaper alternative too. Good luck fabric shopping..love fabric shopping when I am not really "buying" but just window shopping...of course THEN I tons of great things I want then when I need something have the hardest time...go figure! Have fun and good luck!
ReplyDeleteall the photos are gorgeous nita but the first one just woke me up. gorgeous and you just know someone made those pillows from sweaters. so great.

Hey Nita...totally love the pillows on the first sofa. I would like to know how to do that. Can't wait to see what you do with your dining room chairs. I am looking at some navy/white Ikat for mine but I can't make up my mind. Story of my life! Hope your weather improves...~Ann
ReplyDeleteOh I forgot. Your new header is adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou got me this time! Didn't expect all that color. But I love it. Been thinking the same thing and have a post worked up for tomorrow along these same lines. I guess it's the rain.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you choose for your chairs.
I am SO not a fan of this weather! Too many things outside I want to be doing. Hopefully it will be nice again by the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you like to shop for fabric? I bought some fabric last summer at the place on 23rd street (the name escapes me right now), but would like to find some other places to check out too.
Ya got me! Lurve the sofa♥
ReplyDeleteI love all the pillow that look like they were made from sweaters, that makes me rethink some of the items I have boxed up to go to the Goodwill.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, thanks for sharing

LOVE those floral pillows. Thanks for the fun pictures!
ReplyDeleteLovely images!!! Xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda likin' those flowery pillows in the first picture. Perfect for a really neutral room that needs some seasonal zing!

I have one of those ruffled pillows in purple!!! I just loveeeeee it.
ReplyDeleteI am wanting (loving) those pillows in the first picture!
ReplyDeleteWe finally had a warm sunny day here. Everything is so much brighter with the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteI love the pillows too!! What a great idea to re-purpose sweaters. A couple of those in bright colors would really get me into the spring spirit about now......
ReplyDeleteNita, this is a lovely post. I can't wait to see the fabric you found for your chairs. I hope your shopping trip was successful!
ReplyDeleteCute post. I have those sweater pillows marked as faves on Etsy. The sofa has been re-upholstered in a neutral fabric and painted white if you look at that shop. So cute both ways.
ReplyDeleteOur a/c just won't hold up in this heat...so ready for it to pass.
Hope you're staying cool indoors.
